Wow, a great run 15-5 in last 5 minutes. Villanova on its heels, up 2 after being up 15.

Cats are lacking enough size to reach the Final Four, however when you go 16-4 in conference and beat the percentage-point asterisk champion twice, win the Tournament and get to the second weekend, then mission accomplished.

Absolutely need a win Thursday however. Cannot have a catastrophic loss to F’n Michigan.

I wasn’t particularly impressed with Villanova today. There was too much isolation; they only had nine assists the entire game. At halftime, Duke has 10 assists and Michigan State has 8.

Not the best performance but pretty solid. Not every W will be the Mona Lisa. Survive and advance, baby. I think we handle Michy. The Big Catfight vs Arizona might be a horse of a different story.

DOOK. o_O stepping up their defense. Up by 4 with about a minute to go.

I detest Michigan State, but I'll take a win by them. Anything to rid the world once and for all of Coach Rat.

Complete Sparty choke job in progress.

Nova has had to grind out a lot of wins this year. Unfortunately, I missed the game and forgot to record it, so I can’t comment on today but it sounds familiar.

Michigan has a lot of size, this is going to be a tough one.

Down goes Wisconsin. Quite the shizful performance by the Big Shiz Conference.

I have some theories why the B1G is so putrid in the Tournament. The top teams are anointed in advance then protected as if they were the Crown Jewels. They get every call, nobody ever commits a foul or turns the ball over. SO instead of having to earn it, it's just handed to them.

In the NCAA's you have to go up against top athletes who aren't intimidated by your rep, and when you don't have the friendly league officials bailing you out, you get squashed.

Who's ready for a Purdue loss?

I thought Wisconsin was the team that would go the farthest in this tourney.

The 11 seeds have had a good tournament so far.
I thought same re Wisky. Listening to the expert analysts before the game they were questioning how Iowa State was going to manufacture enough points to win. defensive game made that a lot less important. post game analysts said the loss of Chucky Hepburn was the key to the game, as Wisky had no backup. They moved Davis over to point and in the process took away their best offensive weapon to be an assist guy. Sounds like our FB game at Iowa.

So in your conspiracy theory, who does the “anointing”? Are the officials told which team they’re supposed to protect each game? And they’re willing to go along with it, and jeopardize their postseason assignments, etc?

And the second they get to the NCAAs, the officials turn it off?

So what's your theory? You get 9 teams in. Eight wins, seven losses, 1 team still on the floor (losing) and one out of 9 to the second weekend.

Dismal, ridiculous and brutal.
