One of the best Dead shows that I saw was 6/9 and 6/10/73 ….two days in Washington DC. The Dead and the Allman Brothers. I can still remember parts of this concert vividly! Sunday the Dead and Brothers came out together (mostly) and played from 12 midnight until 2:30am….stellar!
Finally to be released as part of this year’s box set extravaganza

Yeah man, a bunch of summer '73 shows are going to be released in a box set on 6/30/23, and both RFK shows are definitely included, along with Santa Barbara, Des Moines (ick) and The big Day on the Green at Kezar. Epic 6/10 is the breakout show that is getting a wide release. The big set is available at Dead.net. I will sadly have to pass on the 8 disc vinyl box for 6/10 since the freakin' vinyl box for one show costs as much as the CD box with 5 shows! But the Allman's set is there.

I have like 3 feet of Dead vinyl boxes though it's starting to get insane. And yes, whole Dead shows on vinyl are insane anyway and they always somehow manage to make you not only flip, but change records in the middle of Dark Star. But I digress...

Incredible Sugaree…

Oh yeah, one of the best, and they also jam into the second half of Terrapin somehow, only time they ever did that.

That venue sounds like the worst place in the world though. The Sportatorium. Way out in the swamp, terrible traffic, no A/C in Miami, but the shows man. The GF's dad saw the ZZ-top Worldwide Texas tour there.

Do you know if the Allman Bros for both days is included or only the Sunday nite encore? I would imagine only the encore because of AB rights?

My comment was a bit misleading. The sets played by the Allman Brothers Band are not included in the Grateful Dead Here Comes Sunshine box set mentioned above. However, the entire 6/10 Grateful Dead show is included, which features not an encore, but an entire set with Betts and Trucks sitting in. 6/10 show is being released on vinyl and CD by itself. So you can get all of 6/10 without the whole big enchilada, probably from normal outlets like Amazon, on 6/30/23.

Hey, thanks. Will they release 6/9 also. They were starting to play stuff from Mars Hotel as you see and I was totally captivated by Row Jimmy! Eyes of the World had my attention too!

Eyes of the World is so great, especially 73-74. For some reason they started playing that song much faster in the late 70's and I don't like it as much. Row Jimmy is great too, probably got better as the years went on. You never know.

And here's another 15%. it won't stack with the first one on this boxset but it will on certain other stuff on their site

BDAY15Dead

Their website is nuts sometimes, some people have a real hard time with coupons and placing orders. I don't have problems but others do. If you do, don't ask me!
