You did not lose because of the refs. You’re inside players should have 30 more fouls. It’s one thing to play hard, it’s another thing to play dirty, and they master dirty.

You did not lose cause Reese fouled out with four minutes to go. She doesn’t guard Hall or Johnson. She plays the dirtiest of all, I’m not talking about hard and hustle and tough, I’m talking about throwing elbows to the face hacking across the forearms with no call. Blatantly throwng elbows in the back to try and start something. She gets the Jordan rules, but the referees know they have to call at least five out of her 40 fouls. Go watch her supposed blocks against Cardoso. She hits her both times right across the forearms. Not the wrist…the dang forearms. Her 4th foul she pulled KC to the floor by her jersey and acted like a victim.

You can come up with all the scenarios of players, that if you had them, you would have beat us soundly. What the heck, every team could use that scenario after every loss.

Last night did not mean you are now better than us (like your message boards think), it does not mean that you will beat us on a neutral floor. It simply means you had the world at your feet, a hostile crowd, ESPN was in love with you last night, you played as good as you can play, and you still lost by 6 to a team that did not play its best. Let that sink in.

So enjoy 2nd place in the SEC, and hope you can avoid us in the big dance…..that’s your only path.

You posted this on the wrong board. This is a Gamecock board.

Oh, trust me, they are over here reading our board. And unlike some people, I’m not going to sign up for every opposing teams message board so I can be bombarded with solicitations for the next year. It’s sad that you have to have that explained to you.
I was only joking. Relax Francis. Just keep in mind, we whine as much as any fan base when it comes to refs / losing. Take the win and move on.

If LSU fans as a group are like the fans of pretty much every other college in America, very few of them are even aware of their WBB team losing.

What ;planet are you from?? 15,000 fans, Gameday, ESPN in primetime and they are not aware of their team losing to the number 1 team in the country. You need to go back to basketball 101 because evidently you are a Clemson fan or a LSU symphathiser.

AMEN BROTHER!! YOU SPEAK THE TRUTH. LSU has not beaten USC in womens basketball in over a decade. The last time we lost to LSU was in 2012. Next year if the SEC schedules USC to Play LSU it will be at CLA. LSU has lost to USC 15 times in a row. That is not an opinion that is a fact!

There is only one fan base that gives a damn about women's basketball at anything more than a minimal level and that is Carolina. To read the posts here you would think women's basketball was bigger than the NFL or college football. NBA mascots make more than WNBA players. There is a reason for that and it isn't because of the mass appeal of the mascots.

You are either ignorant or from another planet. Lets see Tennessee, UCON, IOWA, INDIANA. SOUTHERN CAL, UCLA THEY ALL CARE ABOUT WOMENS BASKETBALL. Go to Tennessee where Pat Summit coached and won 8 National Championships, UcCONN where Geno AUREIMO has won 11 National Championships, South Carolina has won 2 NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS AND FINISHED THE COVID YEAR RANKED NUMBER 1. My friend you are sorely on another planet or just plan dumb. Choose because this is where you are.

UConn, Tennessee and Iowa are a few more fan bases that seem to care a great deal.

I do not care for the NBA and its culture. I didn't even know there was a WNBA.

WRONG!!! UCONN has the most fans on a WBB board of all the schools in America. I'd say we're #2. They have a site on their board for Gamecock fans. They know WBB better than even UT. The big 3 in no particular order are Carolina, UT & UCONN...

I would say if they were a consistent top 5 team they would have more interest, it's just a human tendency. For example, last year I followed our men's team a lot less than this year.

UConn, LSU, Tennessee, Stanford, Baylor…..there’s 5. But like George Constanza says I guess….”It’s not a lie if you believe it”

Don't we play every member at least once a season? LSU will be coming to Cola next season. The only question for me is will we play them twice.

Relative to men's hoops, unfortunately few care about the women's game at most schools. You have named wonderful, exceptions.

Yeah, we have two extreme arguments working here. There are a handful of programs where the women's attendance has eclipsed the men's attendance over the last several years. But the reality is that in USC's case, it's more to do with the men's team sucking than the people excited about the women's team. Last year our women averaged 12,268 in attendance. If we're putting a good men's product on the court we'll have no trouble exceeding that. Doesn't mean nobody cares about the women. Same with UCONN. They average around 9K for the women. But their men won it all last year and are #1 this year. There's a lot more excitement around the men's program. Doesn't mean they don't care about the women.

As a guideline, the #30 ranked men's team was TOSU at 12,181 avg attendance last year. #30 women's was Minnesota with 3,166. The #30 ranked men's team averages 87 less than the #1 women's team.

On the whole, it' not even close. But there is more than one program that cares about the women's programs. But probably less than 10.

I stand corrected. Apparently there are about 6 schools where people pay any real attention to women's basketball. 6 out of around 350 D1 WBB programs. How could I have ever thought that no one cared about WBB? Clearly, Carolina is now the envy of the college sports world.

What exactly is your point? I don't think you'll find any argument that women's basketball isn't nearly as popular as men's. You started the argument by saying LSU fans didn't care. They're averaging around 12K per game, so that's obviously not true.

I believe It will still be a 16 game schedule next year. UK will still be our permanent H&H. It may get tweaked to 18 at some point

And don't we rotate a home-and-home amongst the other schools?

I still miss the divisions in this way-too-many-members league.

Are you referring to the fans that sold out their arena for the game or some of the 1.6 million who viewed the game on television? Asking for a friend……..
