Saban has at most 12 spots left. Bama's rivals dude compiled a list of the highest remaining targets. Your name was not listed, Quay. You got absolutely no ink at all. None. Eddie Goldman was there, Quay. Nick James was thrown in there as a potential fall back if Eddie G doesn't pan out. Justin Shanks got a passing glance, if the end of the world scenario developed. Quay, Saban does not want you for some reason. He's already got Dakota Ball in hand and he only needs one more. He's after EG, man. Go on and admit it, man. Saban has passed you up. You need to sport the maron and whit. Make it official. Don't wait.

Honestly I don't understand why Quay would go anywhere else. If Coach W stays put in vegas after this season I cant see him going anywhere else

but we're not throwing around big money like some of the other guys. If you think we are, then please refer to the Cam Newton cluster17.

Our payroll, though i fully believe it exists, is no where near much or all of our competition. If quay wanted 200k tomorrow to sign you better believe someone would pay at least most of it. Mr. Newton proved that we wouldnt be that person.

I dont think anyone is stupid enough to just give an 18/19 year oldtens of thousands in cash. I do believe however that boosters may give recruits multiple credit gift cards, down payments on cars, and yes maybe some franklin hand shakes. But as far as giving a teenager a shitload of cash in one sitting, no, I dont see how that could be possible.

then with the plan you just laid out those same tens of thousands are just as possible as just handing them a bag of cash.

I sure hope the cam got more than just the down payment on that scooter of his.

used to smoke pot with a DB/S who is now a few years in the NFL. He was a stud at LSU and has made a good name for himself in the pros.

During one of their pot smoking sessions, this player offered to buy the next brick. He paid for it by reaching under his bed, grabbing a black trash bag, and pulling out money fromt it. My buddy guestimated that more than $20,000 was inthe bag, possibly $50,000. Without giving you the status quo "I trust my sources" ********.... this is a guy whom wouldn't lie to me about something like that. We talk college football on a weekly basis and how crooked it is.

So yes, players do get bags of cash. Sometimes it's just as simple as a hefty cinch sack.</p>

he was all conference, got to try out for the boys....made the highlight real one weekend on espn..

he knows a couple of guys in the NFL and some guys who play for the longhorns and they throw cash around at the clubs in dallas like it's monopoly money....

I don't need anyone to tell me otherwise....

Quay could take pocket change from OM like those 3 scrubs did last year or else he can put an NFL career on lay-a-way with State.

I'm betting he's smart enough to go for the long term financial gain over the quick payday.

If this guy thinks that college athletes should get paid upwards of $200,000 per year then I seriously doubt he is looking at it like that. He won't understand that we have a coaching staff that will get him ready for the NFL, a coaching staff that is far superior to OM's when it comes to NFL preparation. But he is just a kid and they will make mistakes. I just hope he has good guidance and structure surrounding him.
