Q for the pack:

How many degrees you have from MSU in your family?

Come next year, every member of my household will have at least one or more from Bachelor's to PhD.

3 between me and my wife. She has an undergraduate and her doctor of vet med (she’s the brains of the family)

If you extend it out, my brother and my sister also have a bachelors from state. Dad attended state but didn’t finish there. Grandfather was the one that started it all and graduated in ‘63

I have bachelor degree and wife has bachelor and master degrees from State.

I actually did go to grad school at state too but didn't finish. Ran out of money and never did go back to finish later. I regret that. Although it really hasn't made much difference in the career.

Three between me and my wife. We were both first in our families to earn college degrees, including aunts, uncles, and first cousins.

SelfX2, son, other son currently enrolled, ex wifeX2, Father, motherX2, uncle, two aunts, grandmother (I don't think hers was a degree but some kind of teacher training back in the 20s).

Three between my father and me. Dad has a BS in Physics, I have a BA and a PhD. Mom did two years at "Mississippi Southern" but then followed my dad out west with the Air Force, so she never finished. One sister went to Florida State, the rest community college or GED.

Other than myself, on my mom's side of the family: my mother, my only aunt, all 4 of my aunt's children (and all of their spouses) and 2 out of 3 of their children. It's a very maroon family.

In my immediate family 7. My mom has 3, my sister has 2(3 in total - 2 from State, 1 from USM), my dad had 2. I'm the odd ball. I don't have any degrees from State. Grew up going to games every week hence my fandom, and why I'm here. My degrees are from ETSU(undergrad - played soccer there), and my master's is from UT(🤢🤮)

Only one in my household (me). Wife has two, one from USM and one from Memphis. Kids not old enough yet.

I have two aunts that each got one from State, so 3 total State degrees within my entire extended family. Brother went to State for a couple years but didn't finish.

Grandfathers were both farmers and mechanics so neither went to college. My mother and father both have bachelor's degrees from State, my sister has a bachelor's and master's, I have a bachelor's and my oldest daughter is a sophomore at State now. My wife went to a school that I won't mention but we fixed her long ago.

5 in my immediate family. My parents and my wife all got undergrad degrees, I got undergrad and masters. I have two brothers but neither went to State.

My grandfather also went to State, he is the original State guy in the family. Passed away over a decade ago, though. Also have extended family that went to State.

Degrees from Mississippi State:

On my Mom's side: grandfather, Mom (grad. degree), one uncle, and three cousins.

On Dad's side: Dad, and two cousins.

Also, my sister and her husband, and both of their two sons. Finally, my brother and his wife.

One for me, one for oldest son, two for youngest son for a total of 4 from State. Then wife has a degree from MUW. Oldest son also has a degree from Wharton, a division of Penn University. My Dad attended State in the early 1940’s but did not graduate. WW2 came along. My Mother graduated from MSCW, which is now MUW.

Myself (2 degrees), my Dad, my Uncle on Dad's side, Uncle on Mom's side, my Sister, my Wife, my Father-in-Law, my Mother-in-Law, one of my children. Long heritage of MSU affiliation both sides of family.

I have another child who graduated from an out-of-state school in our conference that paid handsomely for the privilege.
