Did any of your spouses vote different than you?

ok you had me ready disagree til you said secret, if he doesn't know, then that makes sense
Yeah, this was back when people still had house phones. It was pretty common to have a woman's name on the call list, have her husband answer and insist that nobody in that house had ever voted for a Democrat, voted in a Democratic primary, or signed up on any Democratic leaning website, etc. Meanwhile, their wife was marked as a previous campaign donor.

I don't recall the reverse ever happening.

Ever seen the movie Jarhead? Plenty of Jody references there.

Basically, "Jody" is the strawman name for a guy that seduces military wives and girlfriends while their significant others are deployed, in training, etc.

Ok, well played.

Just to clarify they'd already split, he was retired & no longer "down range." I've never downplayed his service; especially not to his children.

My wife might have voted differently, I don't know.

We've been together for 5 years married for 3. I was incredulous when she confided to me that this was the first time she's ever voted ... for anything. She moved around a lot when her ex was in the military. She said they make it super easy for soldiers to vote, but civilians not so much. I don't think she's implying they made it more difficult. I didn't dig into the issue, for she was a little ashamed for not having done so.

We have similar opinions, beliefs, thoughts on the roles of government, freedoms of people, etc, but we're not one mind.
I take much pride in not dictating what my wife believes and does. Trust is a cornerstone of a good marriage.

Full disclosure: I won’t tell you how, or even if I choose to vote, but, the first time I saw this girl driving a one-ton-dually hauling a trailer load of round bales, I knew she was the one. Married her and haven’t looked back. Strong women are both a pleasure and a challenge.

God bless’em.

Wife and I tend to disagree somewhat politically… but neither of us really give a **** so it doesn’t matter. I decided long ago that I’d try not to care about things I had no control over

We always vote opposite each other. That way we don't have to bother voting, because we will just cancel each other out.

Now, if she is secretly voting on the side, we may have a problem.
