Did the athletic department send out a postgame survey after Arkansas?

Well the survey is specifically not about on-the-field issues. But not updating ribbon board scores and them being two quarters out of date is just one issue from last week.

Agreed. But that is just nitpicking for what was otherwise a wonderful gameday experience*****

I didn't get one. I was hoping to so I could comment on replays. Even my kids are asking where the replays are. We had four game-impacting plays that should've been plastered up there on a loop. To my PoV, the refs blew the first three:
4th and 1 near the Ark 20
Traore's 1st TD
Traore's 2nd TD
The fumble at the goal line

Opinion from someone in the know…

The data feed was out of sync. Typically to resync, you need to restart a machine (computer). That machine is likely tied to multiple game day operations going on during the game. They don’t want to take multiple systems offline to fix one sync issue.

The problem should have been found and corrected before game time.

I get one in my email after every game, but I haven't seen one this week, and boy do I have some thoughts.

It feels like the sound is getting progressively worse. I had to strain to understand what the PA was saying Saturday. It's my first in person game this year, but I can't remember it being so bad.

Yes, the scores from other games were at least a half hour behind. We were showing first quarter ole miss scores when it was halftime there.

I thought the fireworks, entrances, etc. were good. We did blast the cannon when we missed a field goal.

In general though, it was dead. I attribute that to being 1-6 more than anything.

I didn’t renew this year, but that had been an issue for the past couple years when I did attend. There were so many games that we were all wondering why they never seemed to show key replays. It’s bizarre…

You couldn't even hear what the official calls were.

Also, they need to chill with the constant recognitions of this group or that group during every stoppage of play.

It costs 100 million to fix the sound system according to people in the know, no wait
Thats for LED lights.

There's lots to complain about in regard to our game day experience.
  • Crappy sound system
  • Terrible replay management
  • Terrible placement/timing of video board ADs & on field presentations
  • Having to see that giant Ole Miss booster Richard Schwartz on the screen every week (surely we could sell that space to someone else)
  • Outdated lighting
  • The ribbon board fiasco last week
Two things that have improved in recent years:
  1. The efficiency of getting thru security and into the stadium.
  2. The convenient store style concession stands are much better than the old stand in line designs.
Other than that, everything else has continued to stay stagnant or gotten worse. They sorely need do something to address the in game experience. It's a very "meh" atmosphere.

We’ve been bitching about a crappy sound system since we installed the Jumbotron in the south endzone, what, 20 plus years ago?
That sh!# takes time to work all the kinks out folks. Be patient.

concur with all this.

To add to the scores being behind, they show kick times for games later in the day. When I'm at a game, I don't care to know who plays at this 6:30 that night.

The no replays is probably my biggest peeve (along with no wi-fi/cell service).

As far as the PA system, until you hear one that actually works, you don't realize who bad ours is, after the first couple of words, the rest is intelligible. My suggestion is for the PA announcer to stop making long winded presentations. The salute to service should about 10 words, instead the PA guy mumbles on for a good 30 seconds or so of stuff that we can't make out.

Also did they do the kiss cam on Saturday?

Tupelo high school has LED lighting. Let that sink in for a minute! A high school has better than the state’s university. WTF
It is easier to list the number of high schools that don't have LED lights. Turns out that might have been right to save that money since we will be the permanent 11:45 game for the next few years. I have reached the conclusion that nobody in the athletic dept cares. There is no attention to details. It is no wonder the product on the field is a trainwreck.
