I would say that was probably early at the time - he only had one great season at a small school back then. However, USC just hired a coach with one great season at a small school, so who knows.

But last year Medved would have been a slam dunk.

To be fair, it took him until his third year at Furman to get above .500, so there's no evidence yet that Paris won't be as good. We have another year or two to make that determination.
