was from BYU. He later finished law school at Pepperdine University. He was closely involved with the Cougar football program and the air raid found its beginnings there under BYU HC, Lavelle Edwards. I do remember how pass happy BYU was with Steve Young, Jim McMahon, and Ty Detmer in a day when most football teams heavily ran the ball and passed sparingly. Leach certainly has his footprint on todays modern pass offenses in college and in the NFL. He really went total air raid at KY under Hal Mumme. And the rest is history.
