That all you see on espn and sports shows nowadays are women sports anchors? when i see a woman sports anchor i just automatically think they have no idea what they are talking about, except for erin andrews for obvious reasons.

"I'm a man who discovered the wheel and built the Eiffel Tower out of metal and brawn. That's what kind of man I am. You're just a woman with a small brain. With a brain a third the size of us. It's science. "

the thing i hate is when they started letting women broadcast the game. Im sorry, im all for equality and everything, but when there aint a woman on the field, why is a woman calling the game?

The first time I heard a woman calling a football game it took me all of about a quarter to get used to it. The women announcers aren't really any more stupid idiots than most of the men announcers are.

Watching the Saints and Bucs on Fox the other day one of the game announcers, many times called Graham, "Cadillac". I know one has the number 24 and the other has 34 and I can understand making the mistake once or twice but this went on for the entire game. These guys are professional and they should be better and if they can't they need to be let go.

and for proof, I give you Pam Ward. Pam Ward shouldn't be allowed to broadcast a marbles tournament, much less major college football.

She is a horrible, horrible announcer.

Last year, she made a comment about a player going with "the bald look" and noted that some of his teammates had decided to do it as well. Turns out the player had just finished chemo and his teammates shaved their heads in support.

That's what I'm talking about.

Yea I agree...the Ohio/Marshall game was very difficult to watch because of the woman play by play commentator. And on the women referee topic...how can she possibly call a football game without probably ever playing football? I know some women are trying to play football nowadays(God help us)...but the odds are that this woman who was the referee has never seen a down on a field as a player.

But there are plenty of male announers earning a living who aren't any better.

I would have loved to see the look he got from Danielson after that gaffe.

I must see a whole slew of fugly ones then, since most that i see are balding and many have facial hair. Its as if a majority of all i see look strikingly similar to men.
And these women all seem to have men's names too!

...or perhaps your statement that all i see are women isnt accurate.

I'm willing to bet that there are a lot of male referees that never played football.
