Does Jerry Jones bring Mike McCarthy back in 2025?

In the big picture I’m not sure it really matters. It’s been years of this in Dallas. The real problem is Jerry and his family. They can rotate coaches all they want.

Jerry Jones- Owner/ President/ GM
Stephen Jones- COO/ VP/ Player personnel
Jerry Jones, Jr- Executive VP
Charlotte Jones Anderson- Executive VP

Frankly, I’m shocked Jerry’s wife isn’t listed as director of scouting or Executive VP of something.

Jerry effed up the roster and trajectory of the team multiple ways. Waiting until the last minute to give Dak and CeeDee a contract was a bad look and they overpaid Dak. Why wait so long when you were going to pay them anyway? It screwed with training camp. He claimed to be all in on making the team better in the offseason and watched Henry and Barkley sign elsewhere. Micah is going to want to get paid, but the roster needs an overhaul. What does Jerry do?

I think part of the problem with Dak is that he’s not a difference maker in the grand scheme. He benefitted from very good OLs and having good talent around him. He’s not a bad QB, but he won’t necessarily win you games.

For the record, I think Philly made a similar, albeit less costly decision with Hurts. Time will tell.

I agree with you on Dak. The OL was fantastic when he took over for Romo. Now, they are just average and it’s a completely different team. Time will tell on Hurts. I think they were so stung by the Wentz experiment that they didn’t want Hurts to get away and have to start over.
