Did I miss something about his availability/eligibility? Is he even with the team?

I hate the way his college career has played out. Yet another player who we yank around among different positions, never letting them settle/excel at any one. Doty, Joyner, J. Bell.... Look further back, and the list grows. Maybe Doty wouldn't have had it any other way. Maybe he's perfectly content. Maybe we keep recruiting 'tweeners who never really fit in anywhere. Who knows... Bottom line (in regard to Doty), he's been a fantastic Gamecock! I hope he re-emerges somehow/somewhere this season and makes a positive impact for the team. He deserves it!

Still working out with the WR group but Beamer said something this past week about him taking some QB reps in practice after Sellers' injury.

Doty is another one of those recruits we've had who were extremely athletic but couldn't distinguish themselves at a particular position.

Yeah, it just seems somehow that he'd be a better option than Robbie - especially after 3 years with Beamer (and 2 with Loggains). A kid that is so athletic buried in a rather mediocre offense just doesn't make much sense.
