Niners: eight straight and counting.
How did the Eagles do today?
let me see if I have this right:
1. you came along after the Birds game thread last week, and crapped on the Birds
2. today, after the Birds game is over, you're back to do the same exact thing in the game thread
3. these thread are basically for Birds fans, though it's not as though we (meaning I) boot out non-Birds fans
4. heck, we even had a Cowpokes fan or two in this thread, and they were respectful, even if rooting for the opposite of Birds fans were rooting for
If you want to start a NFC thread (seems kind of silly before the playoffs, but to each their own), and argue why your team will win, then go for it.
However, if you continue to feel the need to crap on the Birds in future Birds' game threads, then don't be surprised if you get treated like a jerk. And don't cry wolf if it happens, as I've given you an alternative, and warned you how any continuation of this behavior is likely to be received.
I noticed it last week and thought it seemed out of character for Laf. Then again today.

Lighten up a bit, Tom. I’m not a Birds hater. In fact, I wish them well. I just happen to be more of Niners fan than I am a Birds fan.
The Eagles threads typically ARE the NFL threads on this Board, with a smattering of Steelers fans weighing in. That is particularly the case this year.
BTW, how did I “crap on the Birds” with that post? I pointed out the fact that the Niners won and the Birds lost. Both of those things happened. I did not editorialize.

Well, the Niners in fact won, didn't they? And the Eagles in fact lost, didn't they? I realize Hurts was out, but Minshew doesn't exactly suck. He's a capable backup QB, in my book. I get that there are a ton of Birds fans on this Board. That's hardly surprising. And the Birds have had a spectacular season so far. 1. Miles Sanders often appears indecisive and a step slow. I know saying anything that’s not always singing his praises is considered heresy here but there were times where there was a hole if he bounced outside or cut back and he didn’t see it. Then the fumble.
2. I’m still not sold on the Eagles D. If you score 34 points with a back up QB on the road you should win.
Too many times the D doesn’t close out a play or series. 3rd and 30. 4th and 8, (Dallas gets a first down by penalty on an incomplete pass). The almost sack early, (converted into a Dallas 1st down resulting in a TD instead of punt).
Dallas only punted once all game. Once. The Eagles D gave up four 70+ yard drives, (resulting in 3 Dallas TDs and 1 FG). My fear is an exit from the playoffs because their D just doesn’t come ready to play.
Dallas’ possessions tonight-
1. Interception (pick 6)
2. TD
3. TD
4. FG
5. Half (1 play kneel down)
6. Punt
7. FG
8. TD
9. TD
10. FG
11. FG

The defense just isn’t all that good. They’ve feasted on turnovers and that tends to regress to the mean over time. Today was an example.
Sanders is having a monster season, but I think it’s likely Philly doesn’t resign him for the reasons you mention. I think many backs could be as good or better behind that monster OL. And the fumbles? That just can’t happen like it did tonight. His reputation for fumbles is now right back in the spotlight.
Some team will sign him, but it won’t be for too RB money.

It was just bad timing after a frustrating loss to the hated cowboys. This playoff season should be fun around here with the Eagles, Niners, and possibly Washington and the New York Giants all involved.

Yeah, perhaps I should have waited a day to weigh in with that. Incidentally, I really enjoyed watching that Niners-Commanders game for a reason entirely distinct from the outcome. And that was watching Jahan Dotson. I think we all knew this kid would succeed in the NFL, but I think he is already the single best player on that Commanders team. At least on offense. He is MONEY. Runs great routes, and catches everything thrown his way. Can't say enough good things about him. No you tell me what 28 teams he would start for since you made the asinine claim. If he is so damn good then why is he second string on the Eagles. I ‘m sure he is a fine player who will fill in fine. But stop the BS about him being better than 28 other right tackles in the league. Never answered my question about the Kool Aide by the way.
you haven't watched the line play lately in the NFL. He doesn't start for the Eagles as they have the best line in the NFL by far, if Howie didn't have a bunch of money in Ike he would have beaten him out for sure. BTW he plays OG as well as OT . name any team, good chance he's better than what they have. So far I've found the Bills and the Ravens, Maybe the Chiefs.
