I mean it was a perfect form tackle.Pretty nice double leg there though
It’s an any given Sunday type of league right now. The Eagles have looked vulnerable and the Steelers can certainly beat them.Living in Pittsburgh I watch or listen to the Steelers every week. I'm mildly interested and it's more fun when they win vs lose, but I really don't get emotionally involved. I can only get emotionally involved once a week - on Saturday, not Sunday. We don't get the Birds on TV too much, I had a little on XM Radio coming back from evening Mass. Merrill Reese is as great as ever on the radio.
The Steelers were pretty good today - they bottled up Tampa and made Brady look old. Pickett started and Trubisky came in after he got hurt. Both guys made some plays, and Chase Claypool came up big when they needed him to.
That said, if the Eagles are solid, they should dispatch the Steelers in 2 weeks. Pittsburgh has Miami down there next week.

But those next 3 Eagles games should see them favored by 7+ points each week. That’s a big NFL spread.
I’m trying not to think about last year’s Cardinals right now.
Shouldn’t you be splicing together political ads with selective sound bites? Dr. Oz won’t get elected without you.If anyone could put a damper on a 6-0 start it's WestsideLion. He must be fun at parties.
Parsons was really hung out to dry on both those plays. No matter what choice he made, it would be the wrong one.Scott Van Pelt and Matt Hasslebeck just did a nice segment about the Eagles RPO on Sportscenter. They showed the same RPO call to AJ Brown in the flat in two spots. One converted a fourth down early and the other went for the Eagles second TD.
They gave the Eagles staff kudos for calling the same twice and not trying to get too fancy. It was also a nice breakdown of how they use their personnel and really force defenses to make choices. On both occasions, Parsons had to commit to shadowing Hurts, which allowed Brown to get open in the flat.
It’s super effective against high pressure defenses like the Cowboys, IF you have the QB to execute it. That’s been huge for Hurts this season. He’s seeing the reads clearly and making fast decisions (usually right).Parsons was really hung out to dry on both those plays. No matter what choice he made, it would be the wrong one.
Don’t count out Washington! It’s interesting that the schedules for the Eagles, Cowboys and Giants all look packed with very winnable games. The NFC East may be back to having 2-3 playoff teams this year!
I saw on Greenberg's show this AM (which I havent watched in years) the one guy who played, and I dont know his name, said the Eagles read where were Parsons was. If he was an off the ball LBer, they threw it downfield. If he was on the ball, they ran it, or RPO'd to his side. He was always in conflict. so how many sacks did he get?Parsons was really hung out to dry on both those plays. No matter what choice he made, it would be the wrong one.

it wasnt Orlovsky, it was the Ryan Clark . It was a very good break down. That was Orlovsky.
Zero sacks, and you could see how frustrated he was which I think directly played into his taunting penalty. He got emotional after being constantly out of position in the first half.

you're correct, I had the wrong guy!! sorry but still an interesting point. that discussion is around the 7 mark here. worth a watchI’m sure they all recycle the same lines. I heard orlovsky say the same thing.

it will be interesting to see how Micah and the Cowgirls respond to this as the season goes on. will they have to rush him from his ILBer position? But that takes away a lot of his game.Yeah I thought it was really interesting. And it made sense really. Like I said earlier in the game, Micah really slows down when he has to think. That’s what Sirianni and Steichen were doing to perfection in the first half. Hence my “oh THIS is what gameplanning looks like” comment as well. That was textbook and man it makes me love Steichen and Sirianni even more. What great tacticians
Good point and question... Eagles gave a game plan on how to minimize Micah. Now it's up to the Cowboys to make adjustments because no doubt teams will be using a chunk of Eagles plays against the Cowboys defense. Will be hard for some IMHO since they don't have a true threat for RPO like Hurts or and offensive line that can dominate and knock people off the ball.it will be interesting to see how Micah and the Cowgirls respond to this as the season goes on. will they have to rush him from his ILBer position? And gave up how many TDs? First time in his career he didn't have a pass hurry in the 1st half. Plenty other 1st's for him last night not in a good way. So we will disagree that is for sure. Compare his stats to the Eagles LBs... Edwards and White... Micah had 0 qb sacks, 0 qb hits. Eagles will take those stats every game against him.Exactly.
And he still had 7 tackles (3 solo), 1TFL and 2 PDs. Solid line for the other team gameplanning to defeat YOU
