Pathetic play calling and execution by the Texans at the end. Third down - they hand the ball off five yards deep and lose two yards. Fourth down - after a time out they screwed up whatever it was they decided on the sideline. Just a horrible team.
They showed us all why they are 1-11-1. Firmly entrenched in the #1 draft slot

I missed lane Johnson getting hurt. The crawl says abdomen and didn’t return, is that because they put the second bunch in?? Anything to be concerned about

from during the game:

On a Philadelphia sports talk station after the game, they mentioned that somebody (I forget who, or I'd track down the tweet) had tweeted out that they spoke with Lane, and he indicated that if it was an important game, or a playoff, he could have returned.

I'm more concerned about the injuries to Arryn Siposs (the punter) and to Reed Blankenship (the Saftey filling in for CJGJ). Siposs injured his ankle, and Blankenship injured his knee. I haven't seen anything posted after the game on the condition of either of them.

Punters can be tough to replace this late in the season.

I’m rooting for Minnesota to win. Wouldn’t you rather Vikings host Cowboys?
As long as the Eagles win the division the highest seed the Cowboys could get would be #5 as the first wild card, as the division winners get the top 4 seeds. Minnesota losing gives the Eagles more cushion for the #1 seed and the first round bye.

100%. And Siposs holds for FGs which can have a double whammy.

Did Jordan Davis see snaps today? I don’t see him on the box score.

The Eagles need to win the next two games to get there.

I have to set this up early, due to my schedule. Please use this for all pre-game, in-game, and post-game discussion of the Birds - Giants game.

Go Birds!!!
From afar the giants look horrid.. and are now playing like who they really are.

From the article:

"Siposs was seen with a walking boot and crutches in the postgame locker room. Without Siposs, receiver Britain Covey handled field goal holding responsibilities and kicker Jake Elliott was the punter. Elliott’s one punt went 35 yards and Covey’s holds all went well."

Probably the funniest play in the game -- something I don't recall ever seeing in a NFL game:

Seriously, I don’t think they ever eliminated the drop kick, so what is the difference?
It actually would have been legal had there not been a slight time lapse between the ball hitting the ground and the kick. The rule states “a drop kick is a kick that is made as, or immediately after, a dropped ball has hit the ground”.

I mean they really split some hairs in the NFL. I guess it’s board as long. As w a FG when you miss, ball is spotted at the spot of the kick. So a missed drop kick, would go back to the spot of the drop, which is about what they got.
Sunday night game just had a roughing the QB call that looked like a regular sack

Nothing definitive about punter Arryn Siposs. Eliot Shorr-Parks was on the radio earlier today and indicated he would be surprised if he didn't go on IR, and thus miss 4 games.

Jeff McLane tweeted out the below, which is about the most I've seen on the subject:
