So do the Packers elevate Clifford from practice squad?

How many of these Eagles played an exhibtion game? Not too many starters did, did they? Just asking. For years now, the first game is always a bit sloppy cuz of the fact many skip the "practice" games.
And not play any starters (both premier NFL teams) in pre-season and send them 10h away for their first game on a shat field. Stupid all around. Why not week 5 or 6 like the Euro games?

I think they have to. You can’t play a game with only Willis active.
Packers' fan here. First, good game for the Eagles - they played better and earned a well-deserved W. As for my team's QB prospects, I'm not optimistic. I can't say that I understood why the Pack acquired Willis and immediately demoted Clifford. I became doubly concerned when they put Willis in at the end of the game and he had one job (throw the ball no matter what) and he failed miserably. Best wishes to the Eagles for the remainder of the year.

I hope Love comes back soon and has a great year. I like this Packers team. They’re young and very talented.

Was anything said about why the field was so slick? I didn’t see rain during the game. It seemed like a sh|t field.

This is concerning, considering how little production they got from the DE position in the game. For all they paid Huff, you'd think he'd warrant a lot of snaps. I don't recall hearing his name called for any plays.

"At edge rusher, Josh Sweat led the way with 41 snaps (61%), followed by Brandon Graham (32 snaps, 48%), Nolan Smith (31 snaps, 46%) and Bryce Huff (30 snaps, 45%). It’s worth noting that Huff is a starter but played the fewest of this group. Graham is 36 and got more snaps than a first-round pick from a year ago and a big-time free agent pickup. Graham is still a good player but that’s not ideal."

I think we are seeing the full extent of the Reddick shenanigans. The Eagles knew he was a bad apple and had to pounce on a replacement (Huff). Huff really looks like a poor signing and had all the red flags coming in.

I hope you are wrong. Otoh I hope Nolan Smith breaks out soon. He should be a hammer

I hope I’m wrong too. But Huff had a career year last year as a role player. Those seasons are often an outlier and unsustainable. Fangio’s comments and the game 1 performance are also bad omens.

He may get 5-8 sacks but that’s not why they brought him here.
