true and in college as well. But several NFL teams have tried it, and have not had the success the Eagles have had, in fact some have been down right failures. Not every QB has Hurts leg drive
Your last line, good point. I had been wondering if there was anything physical about Hurts that makes the tush push so effective for Philadelphia. .

no consensus except among the teams that cant stop it. No more dangerous then any other profootball play imo. Just you get down and dirty. wait until Hurts fakes it and tosses the ball to the TB around the end! that will make peoples heads explode!!
Yeah, my dad and I were speculating on the same thing yesterday. Maybe around the opp 30 yard line where there is a lot of space and it doesn't kill you if you miss. May work with a TE as well.

Hurts squats 600 lb.

You saw Hurts' lower body strength on display on his 3rd and 11 scramble. The Rams LB just nailed him without wrapping up and Hurts bounced off of him, kept his balance and got another 10 yards. He's quite a physical freak. Swift and AJ Brown too.

The announcers yesterday were remarking on Brown’s physical bonafides.

HUGE play yesterday. 14s FD the same. Answered when called upon. I think 14 is special.

Levis might. Anthony Richardson is no slouch. But, yeah, it would seem that Hurts is an outlier here.

Well, here we are with the prospect of Philadelphia having a play that, barring a fumble, is guaranteed to gain one yard minimum. Do you go for it on fourth-and-one from your own 10?

No. They are very analytical. The expected value of a 4th and 1 conversion from your own 10 yard line is low vs. doing it at midfield where it will usually lead to bonafide points. Let's say you convert. The offense still has 50+ yards to go to get into FG position. That's not a lot of upside.
