hmmm no love for Pa Deutsch????
My people!
hmmm no love for Pa Deutsch????
Only English speaking countries, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Caribbean nations, Canada. (NOT other languages speaking with an accent, for example Frenchies speaking English with their usual accent)
For me it's the Irish accent that I love, and the Scottish accent that I despise. Once I was at a take-away in St. Andrews and could not understand the young man behind the counter taking my order at all. I needed someone to translate what he was saying.
There’s an absolute ‘smoke show’ - Irish girl I know and when she says “tree” instead of “three”, I instantly get a boner. Not sure of the (probably weird) psychology on that, but it’s a fact.Irish for me, and only because when i hear a lady speaking with it, I picture a curly red haired, green eyed freckled lass. to me it's a softer scottish.
Australian is a close second
upper-midwest/boston is last for me.
Great exercise. Once I heard the Italian female speak English with the Italian accent the Queens colonials were dead to me.Only English speaking countries, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Caribbean nations, Canada. My first day in Appalachia I spent about 5 hours driving around with a local trying to find a dunk tank for a community fair. I’m not lying when I tell you that I spent the entire time nodding, laughing, or looking concerned at everything the guy said without ever really knowing what I was responding to.Best - Any Pennsylvania accent, Yinzer, Philly or Pa German!
Worst - Appalachian accent. Try to talk to someone from Southern West Virginia or Eastern Kentucky. It's like listening literally to a foreign language.
