English language accent you like the most, and the one you hate the most.

Hate both Boston and hard core Pittsburgh accents.

I’m sure someone will clarify for me.
Sean Connery’s voice and accent.

Only English speaking countries, England, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, South Africa, Caribbean nations, Canada. (NOT other languages speaking with an accent, for example Frenchies speaking English with their usual accent)

For me it's the Irish accent that I love, and the Scottish accent that I despise. Once I was at a take-away in St. Andrews and could not understand the young man behind the counter taking my order at all. I needed someone to translate what he was saying.

Despise the Scottish accent? Are you a numpty or simply glaikit?

Irish for me, and only because when i hear a lady speaking with it, I picture a curly red haired, green eyed freckled lass. to me it's a softer scottish.

Australian is a close second

upper-midwest/boston is last for me.
There’s an absolute ‘smoke show’ - Irish girl I know and when she says “tree” instead of “three”, I instantly get a boner. Not sure of the (probably weird) psychology on that, but it’s a fact.

Great exercise. Once I heard the Italian female speak English with the Italian accent the Queens colonials were dead to me.

Best - Any Pennsylvania accent, Yinzer, Philly or Pa German!
Worst - Appalachian accent. Try to talk to someone from Southern West Virginia or Eastern Kentucky. It's like listening literally to a foreign language.

My first day in Appalachia I spent about 5 hours driving around with a local trying to find a dunk tank for a community fair. I’m not lying when I tell you that I spent the entire time nodding, laughing, or looking concerned at everything the guy said without ever really knowing what I was responding to.

hmmm no love for Pa Deutsch????

My one grandmother spoke Pennsylvania Dutch when she talked with various relatives. Between her and my mother, and the accents, I had plenty of fuel for good-natured ribbing. It wasn't until I left and came back that I truly appreciated just how regional a lot of their speech really was.

And then this was always played on the local radio stations ...

One of the toughest parts of being a transplant up here (after dealing with all the Catholics and hockey fans) is constantly mocking the Boston accent in your personal life, then trying to pronounce things "correctly" (according to the effed up "official" pronunciations, but not in a Boston accent) in a more formal setting.
