For whom? FoxSports seems pretty wrapped up with the B1G and the Big 12. The B1G dropped ESPN in its latest contract with FoxSports, CBS and CBSSports. And NBC has Notre Dame and that’s about all it has gone after.Ripe for some competition

You have confused ESPN+ with SECN+. Not the same.U can watch our game on SEC+ for no charge via the espn app if you have sec network on your tv service provider. You simply log in thru your service provider. Make sure u choose our game on sec+ from the app. It sometimes gives you the espn+ choice first to get you to sign up to trick you to pay. Just scroll to the game offering on Sec+.
if you don’t have the SEC network through any provider, then you are just SOL and will have to pay
YouTube provided our first two games but not today's. Listened to the radio broadcast with Derrick and Tommy. At least it is way more bearable than Todd and the other Tommy....I got the game on Youtube I was not paying 9.99 for ESPN+
It's more likely that It wasn't "YouTube" providing it inasmuch as someone decided to "restream" their ESPN+ feed.YouTube provided our first two games but not today's. Listened to the radio broadcast with Derrick and Tommy. At least it is way more bearable than Todd and the other Tommy....
Softball does make sense since it's the WCWS. I do agree that showing Pickleball and Formula 1 racing makes no sense.Showing Pickleball, Formula 1 racing and softball instead of Regional Baseball makes no sense.

The cable model is going away in general for all programming sources. Internet streaming will be taking center stage in the coming years. It also provides more flexibility to view programming wherever you are. Personally, I preferred the Slingbox, as it's the only way I'm aware of to view my local TV stations from afar, e.g., being able to watch WCSC-TV Charleston from here in Atlanta.I love espn+. I’d rather have every game at my fingertips (it’s literally almost every single game) through an app, than have to watch what some exec decided should be playing on one or two (or five) channels on cable.
I think espn actually killed their cable model
Unless they strike deals with, say YouTube TV, to direct customers there. It actually makes a ton of sense - and when the switch over is complete it’s actually better for you, the consumer.
ESPN wants out of the cable business. Why sell through a distributor when you can go direct to the consumer? If you look at your cable bill breakdown, a big portion is for espn (and it’s up charged by the cable companies). If they can get all their consumers to switch to espn+, not only can you get ESPN cheaper than through cable, but now your viewing options are limitless (every game live, all the time).
Everyone wins with a complete switch to Plus, except for the cable companies.
Hulu has the bundle package which you can subscribe to for $69.95 + tax which is $75.59 a month. This package includes ESPN+ , Hula live tv and Disney+. You can cancel at anytime with no cancellation fee. I watched all the baseball games on ESPN+ and did not have to subsribe to ESPN+ for $10 month or $100 annually. Espn+ is part of the package. All you will need to do is subscribe to the Hulu bundle and you will need to change you provider to Hulu. Really for anyone that loves sports this is the best way. You tube tv is $78 monthly and does not offer ESPN+, History Channel, National Geographic which is part of the bundle package on Hulu. I had no problems watching all the games on ESPN+ and did not have to pay the $10 or $100 annually. Hope this helps for everyone that loves sports. Lastly Hulu is owned by Disney who owns ESPN. That is why they can offer the bundle package.Hulu + Live TV, or just Hulu?

What you have to remember is that SECN+ is owned by ESPN and you can watch those games on ESPN+. If you go to ESPN and go to ESPN+ you will see the SEC+ Games listed and their game times. Like the ACC network it is also owned by ESPN, just that it is shown on the ACC network.Does this include SECN /SECN+/ACCN/ACCNX?
A reminder to all that SECN+ & ESPN+ are not the same.
More thoughts. If you like a plethora of different programming types, cable may end up being a better deal for you with its ability to bundle different programming types. If you only care for 1-2 programming types (e.g., sports, dramas, cooking channels, etc.), a la carte may work better for you.It actually makes a ton of sense - and when the switch over is complete it’s actually better for you, the consumer.

Since I have neither, just asking on behalf of those who may be interested in signing up.What you have to remember is that SECN+ is owned by ESPN and you can watch those games on ESPN+. I understand but basically ESPN owns the media rights, but however I do not know how this is done but on youtube you can see replays from football games like the UT game, Clemson game. How this is done I do not know. But basically ESPN owns all the media rights to these games. If your provider does not offer ESPN you can sign up for $10 a month or $100 annually, or sign up on Hulu under their bundle package and get the ESPN+ basically for free. I understand all this is a personal decision.Since I have neither, just asking on behalf of those who may be interested in signing up.
There's been a lot of confusion about this.
What specifically does $10 per month cover?I understand but basically ESPN owns the media rights, but however I do not know how this is done but on youtube you can see replays from football games like the UT game, Clemson game. I don't think that's true. I have YTTV and ESPN+. In order to watch SEC+ content I have to use by YTTV credentials. I cannot watch that programming by signing into my ESPN+ account. The only way to access SEC Network programming is via TV subscription. If the program is offered on both platforms (SEC+ and ESPN+) then you can just watch with an ESPN+ sub. But if it's only offered on SEC+, then you have to be subscribed via TV service. What you have to remember is that SECN+ is owned by ESPN and you can watch those games on ESPN+. It just covers access to ESPN+ content. You cannot stream ESPN/ESPN2/ESPNU/SECN/ACCN live with the $10/mth. Basically, you get access to event that ESPN has not deemed worthy to put on their main platforms. It's very beneficial during the college baseball season. What specifically does $10 per month cover?
Yep. That’s what I have now….and you also get all the Marvel productions…movies and series.Hulu has the bundle package which you can subscribe to for $69.95 + tax which is $75.59 a month. I hope they do. I get Youtube TV and except for not getting the History Channel I like.Unless they strike deals with, say YouTube TV, to direct customers there.
Most of the information I get on these topics these days comes from the Cord Cutters News YouTube channel.I hope they do. I get Youtube TV and except for not getting the History Channel I like.
No I have not….I totally understand it. You may be stuck on semantics and the “watch” option on the app vs the ESPN + option. Many games will show as on ESPN+ and SEC+ (or ACC+ for tater fans). Bottom line if it shows on both you can watch the SEC plus version if you have the SEC network on your tv service for free. Every article pretty much I saw before our games this weekend said that we would be on SEC plus. Then the day of the game they all said ESPN plus only. So I logged in and sure enough could not find the SEC plus option available. Thus you would be forced to buy ESPN plus to watch it.You have confused ESPN+ with SECN+. Not the same.

Have numerous gamecock friends and we watch pretty much any and everything on SEC Plus that’s not showing on the SEC network. And no one could find the game other than on ESPN plus which requires a subscription.
Atl….go read my post…it was to explain how to watch on the espn app without having to sign up for espn+ IF the game had been on SEC+ (which had been the case for 90% of the year when for midweek games as example). I know espn+ is not the same as SEC+. This weekend’s games weren’t on sec+ so my instructions were moot.I'm not stuck on semantics. Actually, the ACC's version of SECN+ is called ACCNX. Now that you could call semantics.
I re-read, and stand corrected. Still, there is some occasional overlap. The UF-TTU game this afternoon was available on both ESPN+ & ESPNU.Atl….go read my post…it was to explain how to watch on the espn app without having to sign up for espn+ IF the game had been on SEC+ (which had been the case for 90% of the year when for midweek games as example). SEC clout and the SECN.Yeah every time I'm on the app and I see the number of games on espn+, I cant help but think we've been pretty fortunate not to have been on there all that much exclusively.
Lol…wasn’t trying to argue with you. Hope it didn’t come off that way. I see people on here all the time saying they have to buy espn+ to watch a game that on sec+. I constantly have to type out instructions, so I assumed it was that scenario again. But the fact it was only on ESPN plus changed things. We have a close family friend that fights in the UFC so we end up purchasing ESPN plus for the times when he’s on if it’s not on the main card. I just simply cancel the following month. During the regular season, the (designated, in case of a neutral site) home team's conference/television rights determine who carries the game.
Thank you for your efforts in helping to prevent fellow Gamecocks from signing up for a service they do not want.
Yeah, I am surprised that more coverage wasn't on the SEC family.Lol…wasn’t trying to argue with you. Hope it didn’t come off that way. take care and go gamecocks
My computer guy here in Puerto Vallarta has hooked me up to a TV provider called Boron. Not sure how it works but I am able to get all of the local channels from the States......actually pretty much anything from around the world including PPV sports for free. Can not get many sub channels. When I did a search for Charge! it took me to the NFL Chargers site.....Can you pick up the subchannels too, e.g., WUPA-TV 69.6 here in Atlanta, which carries Charge!
I'm sure you have access to Charge! though either their streaming service or one of their affiliates, but I am specifically referring to this one.
I have an outdoor antenna w/ rotor here in Atlanta which is about 1m above the pitch of the roof (about 6m off the ground). When I scan for channels, I get about 130. Like cable, many are religious, shop at home, foreign languages (Spanish & Vietnamese mostly). Can not get many sub channels. When I did a search for Charge! it took me to the NFL Chargers site.....However, I did run across this: [1] It was announced that YouTube TV will add Charge! to their lineup on June 1, 2023.
