Limited sample watching us play UAB today, but the people I sat with said this team feels different from last year.
- Our young pitching staff is a year older. They threw strikes. Colby Holcomb looked very good.
- Defensive infield didn’t show any weakness that was very obvious in last year’s group. Turned numerous double plays.
-Hitters up and down the line up looked better. Hines didn’t play game one. Mersin and Jordan didn’t show much, but Larry tore it up. Don’t know their names, but 1st and third basemen had multiple strong at bats.
There is hope.
