can shop them around and the NCAA can't do anything about it. It will eventually become a major issue down the road.

The ncaa. Went from one extreme to the other. I watched Trojan Wars 30 for 30 on espn. Reggie Bush was nailed to the wall by the ncaa cause an agent provided funds $$$ for his family to live in a house in San Diego. Gave up the heisman and was not permitted to even go back on the USC campus. All his records erased. Kept running through my mind it would be ok today. Money and portal has changed the face of college football. Yes. I know there was under the table stuff before but not to the extent $$$ rules today now that it's out in the open. ncaa held to their rigid rules too long. Player was extremely limited iwith transfer rules and benefits allowed. They should have relaxed the rules a bit voluntarily.

Sadly, in many cases, those people closest to the player and with the most influence, don’t have the player’s best interest in mind.
and/or are dumb as a box of rocks.

The ESPN film The Best That Never Was should be required viewing for every top prospect. Kind of a "if the people around Marcus Dupree in this film remind you of somebody in your life, run" type of thing.
