As we get closer to game day. I was thinking what my favorite game Carolina/Clemson game has been. Collectively the 5-game winning streak was amazing. I think if I had to point one out, it would be the 1987 game. I was in GA visiting family and was surrounded by UGA fans. It was a night game and for the first time (I think), ESPN played the entire 2001 entrance. The crowd was wearing a lot of black and I remember the RODNEY chant. The UGA folks were quite impressed and to this day are Gamecock fans all but one game per year.
That was a good Clemson team but we beat the schnot outta them that night. Ryan Bethea was on point and Brad Edwards had a couple of picks. That team definitely had the "it" factor.
How bout y'all?

Mine was the one were Jad Dean missed the FG. At that time everyone didn’t have dvr to record. Dean missed it and all my friends jumped up and went outside cuz some smoked. I backed the dvr up and yelled at them to get back inside. I said there was a penalty and they getting to kick it again. They came in watched and hesitated after the kick. They sorta felt something wasn’t right but was waiting to see if there was a flag this time. I said hey I backed the dvr up. He missed the kick and wasn’t a penalty. Lol. They wanted to kill me. Lol

I going to second 1987 as my favorite with the Edwards pick six as RODNEY chased him into the end zone.
But last year's victory in the valley was special and with time may move to the top.

2006, they hit a couple of big plays early and got up by a couple of scores. We kept working, scratching, fighting, clawing and eventually got the lead late in the 4th, they line up for a FG to tie it and their kicker missed. We ripped their hearts out that day.

Honorable Mention: 1996, 2010

Whichever year it was (2012, I think) that Dylan Thompson started and played a great game in relief of Shaw, leading us to a 27-17 victory up there. That was one you couldn't see coming.

Steve Tanneyhill 1992 and 1994

24 -7. and 33 - 7 the return trick play.

Throwing the ball to the other side of the field.

I don't like Brad Scott. He is one of the top Traitors in all of History like Benedict Arnold and Judas to Jesus. He is up there.
Don't understand how that man could go to Clemson. With Bobby Bowden Recommendation he could have gone anywhere. Used the knowledge he learned while the South Carolina Coach to assist Clemson in Recruiting. Recruitting contact info Personnel info about our players. Etc

1987 for me.

The 2009 game seems underappreciated it. That was a real beatdown that most of the pundits didn't see coming.

It's simply a job to coaches. They aren't invested the way fans are.

No disrespect intended. I know you are highly respected on the FGF.
I believe and agree with what you saying in most coaching situations.

Not on the Brad Scott situation. He had Bobby Bowden advocating for him.

Bowden's opinion carried a lot of weight. Bobby said,"If Brad Scott can't win at South Carolina No One Can."

People listened to Bobby Bowden just like Steve Spurrier and other high profile Coaches.

Bowden would have helped Scott get another Coaching job about anywhere

But Brad Scott was bitter towards our beloved University because of his lack of Success.
A church I attended had Clemson influence, lots of Graduates 🎓 and Fans.
They had a rally for Hunters and Fisherman. Brad Scott was the Guest speaker. I told my church friends and those planners I wouldn't be available for this Rally. Scott an experienced hunter and fisherman
Just like MusChamp was bitter towards us and advised players to leave early for the league and transfer out.

MusChamp was well liked/respected by players and player's parents. He abused his influence with player's and parents. Turned these kids and their parents against USC.

Scott planned to do everything he could to stick it to the University of South Carolina. He hurt us recruiting and used all his resources to help Clemson.

We have had Coaches that have coached for Clemson Ellis Johnson, Tommy West,Miles etc. I respect these Fellows and others like them.
But Brad Scott/Muschamp are different they made their termination Personal.

People like this shouldn't be given Jobs where they can influence young people. Bad examples and use influence to poison young people's minds.

If I remember that was the game where the tater fan flipped off the camera after our last touchdown.

16-7 is my favorite Clemson game
I bet. Glad to see you guys turned it around this year and will play in a mid tier bowl game against a ****** team. In all honesty you guys have fallen to our level. Its not that much fun is it? For this to be your favorite game says it all.

You will never know what it feels like to win any type of championship! When you have won 9.confernce titles, 2 nattys and countless other big games, I know exactly what it feels like. I have felt it all!!!! Except 0-11. Never have felt that!

Its not that bad when you lose 21 in a row. After 8 or 9 it all is the same. What you have a hard time accepting is your run is over. It hurts and I hope you can relish those precious moments next week during the ACC championship when you are at home playing on a Gamecock board.

We have a men's team as well. Maybe you were planning last year's family bowl vacation and missed it when we beat y'all . Man, to be coming off your favorite Clemson game of all time you seem a little agitated playing on a Gamecock board.
