Sources: $16 million per year for Jim Harbaugh
The Chargers, stung by the perception that they're cheap, apparently broke the bank to get Jim Harbaugh back in the NFL.

The record is pretty clear that over the last several years, CJF has gotten everything he has asked for from PSU. And he has asked for a lot.I'm sure his agent will soon start to make noise about CJF being underpaid. What's the time frame for a renegotiation of a 10 year deal? 4 years? We will soon be there. I suspect that at his current rate of success, and certainly 10 or 11 wins per season is very good, that Kraft will decide the current contract matches those expected results, and invite him and his agent to come visit again in another 2 years.
In other words, Kraft will punt to them, and let them decide if they want to uproot and find a good job elsewhere. If they do, we are a great spot for a great coach. If not, then keep getting better results and maybe we will all be clappy as a ham someday soon.
IDK but Allen didnt have off sets in his contract?Tom Allen will make more this year and next than CJF. That buy out from IU was a nice bit of change.
But will they trade him?![]()

Probably not. IU owed Allen $20.8mm. He agreed to take $15.5mm in two payments of $7.75mm. Gonna guess that the reduced amount was a quid-pro-quo for elimination of any offsets as well.IDK but Allen didnt have off sets in his contract?
What does that look like? As a Gopher fan, I'd gladly lap up those scraps! lolOne Jim won a NC.
The other Jim hasn’t don’t shyft other than one B1G championship.
Your evidence of this claim? I don't know what Franklin has asked for. He has publicly said one thing PSU doesn't have that has cost us recruits is private rooms for players. Last time I checked we still don't have that, so no, I don't think CJF has gotten EVERYTHING he's asked for or wants. The record is pretty clear that over the last several years, CJF has gotten everything he has asked for from PSU. I have no idea whatsoever if/when/for what he might ask for more. I really don't. What would happen if he did? Past history says he gets it gift-wrapped and delivered. But who knows?
Doesn't seem to be a problem for 'Bama. Most of its players live in Bryan Hall, which are suite accommodations.Your evidence of this claim? I don't know what Franklin has asked for. When you win a championship every couple of seasons lots of potential issues are willfully overlooked.Doesn't seem to be a problem for 'Bama. Most of its players live in Bryan Hall, which are suite accommodations.
Agreed. So maybe Big Game James wouldn't have lost those recruits if he were a better coach. Oh, PSU can't give him that. When you win a championship every couple of seasons lots of potential issues are willfully overlooked.
I'm hoping - expecting - that Kraft takes a stronger stance and isn't afraid of him walking like it seemed we were in the previous AD administration. He can find reasonable compromises, or at least offer them. If James expects to continue to be paid in the top 5 to 8 (not %) of all 1A Power coaches, he needs to get over the Michigan/Ohio State hump... consistently. Otherwise, being in the top 10% (not top 10) should be about right. The record is pretty clear that over the last several years, CJF has gotten everything he has asked for from PSU. Can't say what Kraft might do, but it's not his call, at least as things currently stand.I'm hoping - expecting - that Kraft takes a stronger stance and isn't afraid of him walking like it seemed we were in the previous AD administration. Just imo.
