My wife, who now has TWO PhDs, started as a flight attendant. She was weighed every day she had a flight and reprimanded if she was more than 5 lbs over target weight.IIRC, the cheerleaders circa 1980 had to have weigh ins. I think they had a 5 lb. margin from when they made the team, or they got pressured to lose weight.
why do I guess everyone with a number 50-79 on the football team is weighed in each week, let alone a bunch of other guysMy wife, who now has TWO PhDs, started as a flight attendant. She was weighed every day she had a flight and reprimanded if she was more than 5 lbs over target weight.
Can you sue your doctor for body shaming if they tell you to lose weight?
It's a delicate subject even for docs.My wife, who now has TWO PhDs, started as a flight attendant. She was weighed every day she had a flight and reprimanded if she was more than 5 lbs over target weight.

The good news is that they have decided there is a racial bias in BMI. The bad news is I think you're in the race they based it on originally.I am suing the federal government's body mass index for fat-shaming me.

You'll be hearing from my lawyer for writing that!Of course in today’s world ANYONE can sue ANYBODY for ANYTHING!

I just tell people I’m short for my weight. If I’m 6’ 4”, nobody questions my 255 - 260 pound frame. And, some look at me unsure of what I just said to them.Years ago when I worked for MetLife I suggested they reverse their famous weight-height chart from saying “this height should be this weight” to saying “this weight should be this height”. Guess my suggestion is still in someone’s in box? Or shredding machine?
I'm short and bald...someone is gonna pay. When I was in the Blue Band years ago, we didn’t have to worry about fat-shaming the majorettes. Holy hell.

Sounds like a case of she said she said but, 'When a lice infestation broke out among them team, Bean allegedly told Wassel it was her fault “because she was ‘such as (sic) word that rhymes with snore’ and that the team was lucky that she did not spread an STD to them,” Shubin wrote.'
I forgot to ask. Is it appropriate to throw a Flag on this Thread?

My kid was in the Blue Band. They were on a tour bus for an away game. Unfortunately the blue sapphire had to fire a biscuit. I gather she had to go badly or you would wait till the bus ride was over. Anyhow, it was quite the fragrant episode, and a few kids called her the touch of brown for awhile after that debacle.including “a touch of blue”?

Operating Rooms used to be quite the same. PC patrol cleaned it up to “church-like”. Video cameras everywhere now .Average civilian would be horrified to hear the banter that goes on in the military. I can recall several "Did I really hear what I thought I heard?!?!" moments and soon learned NOTHING was off-limits. Fun times!
That "word" ...fits Shubin to a T , IMO.This article has more details. Shubin is the attorney.
