Where are the plaques?? All those players on those plaques were guilty of winning football games, graduating, and being positive contributors to the world. I can see why you would want to blame them for something they knew nothing about!!!! Don't get me started...I missed 3 easy birdie putts today so I am boiling!!!
Many of the plaques were badly damaged as they crow barred them off. I honestly would not be surprised if those were pitched in garbage right away.

What will continue to enrage me is the nerve of those cigar-chomping bigwig sh!theels who paid for the plane message to intimidate us.

I want to sit down with them and throw a pot of hot coffee in their faces, just to get their attention. Then tune them up.

Was it osu? pitt? I bet on michigan. Whoever it was, it was from a school that's covered up plenty of sex crimes of their own.

Donā€™t waste the coffee!

Who hired the plane remains a curious footnote on the whole debacle. Will we ever know?

It wouldn't be that hard except the trail is cold. A few bribes would do the trick, but then what? What they deserve is illegal.

Things are so complicated now. I apologize in advance for the testboard thought, but one of the villains of this mess is also now a champion of
American democracy (IMO) so you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

So a politician asks a question that doesn't cost the university anything to answer, and is about an asset that has tangible value, and he cannot get an answer. Gotta love leftwing leadership.

So dumb. Funding for the continued operation of a school should not have anything to do with a statue of a former coach. Threatening to impede the education of current and future students because you want to know where a statue is ... at its best, this is a hollow, awful political maneuver to score points with constituents (i.e. what's wrong with politics today), at its worst, it's a willingness to not educate students over some meaningless object, the subject of which having voiced he didn't even want it. Insanity.
Taking it down becAuse of the actions of a retired coach is where this went wrong in the first place.

A politician threatens to withhold funding that would help educate the next generation if he doesn't get an answer to a meaningless question that he has no right to get an answer to, and has absolutely nothing to do with government funding or education. Gotta love whatever wing of leadership that politician is promoting (note: what "wing" it comes from is meaningless, and stop trying to make EVERYTHING a divisive political issue, you nut).

He has no right to ask the question? I find that fascinating considering he's tasked with voting on funding as he sees fit. In fact, I find your claim that it impedes education highly dubious. As I correctly pointed out, answering the question doesn't cost the university a dime, and answering the question can increase funding, not only from the politician but also from those withholding donations. Now, who again is truly willing to 'hold up education'? I'm just going to say it right now, you're a ******* sheep moron. Stop kowtowing to the loons running the university and try thinking for yourself.

Heā€™s tasked to vote in accordance with the wishes of and benefit to his constituents. Being from Beaver Country, I know folks there, including nearly all my family, have much more pressing issues to deal with. This guy is a clown.

No doubt, there's almost always more pressing issues out there. That said, I don't think anyone wants a politician to be a mere rubber stamp, and this happens to be something he has to vote on. I can't think of any way the university gets hurt by giving info on the statue, but I can see tangible benefits to providing that info, and I have little doubt a lot of his constituents would happily accept that info.

I don't find it fascinating that you are trying to distinguish between asking a question, and threatening to withhold state funding in a completely unrelated inquiry asking said question. I find your claim that withholding funding from higher education impedes education completely meritless.

If you want to be a tool and withhold your private donations furthering higher education because you don't know where a statue of a former football coach is located, then it's probably better you just hold on to your money. You'll probably need it for bail when the next insurrection rolls around. Who again is truly willing to "hold up education"? The douchebag who should have never been elected to public office, who is threatening kid's educational futures because he doesn't know where a statue is located. If you have any other burning questions you can't figure out, like "what does 3 minus 2 equal?" Let me know. I got you.

If by "bleeping sheep moron" you mean "a high-achieving former student-athlete alumnus who doesn't give a rip about a statue of a former football coach because I actually care about the university as a whole, and the education of future students, and not just the reputation of one former coach" then you totes have me dead to rights. Kudos. Joe was great. He got screwed over. Now let's move along, like normal, functioning adults would do. Let's worry about the kids attempting to get edumacated going forward, not some sad bitterness you hold over the treatment of a past football coach's statue he didn't even want.

I'm quite certain I don't think for the "loons running the university" or the "loons who think PSU begins and ends with Joe Paterno," and I think for myself. You're nuts. You're nuts on this topic, and you're nuts as to trying to make everything a divisive political topic. You're just all-around looney tunes.

You can find no way to actually back his ridiculous request, yet you attempt to stand by it. Why? Why not just be a normal, thinking human being? What he's doing is obviously bat **** crazy. Why not just call it that, even though you really want to know where the statue is, and really want to rage against the BoT for how they treated the former, late football coach? Why not try to be normal and rational, rather than putting the bunny in the boiling water because you didn't get what you wanted?

Said no one sane, ever.
Could be, but there are reasons why PSU's requests for funding are not well received, and they don't all originate in Harrisburg. If Dr. Bendapudi's attitude is similar to yours, she's not getting very far in that regard.

It's the university refusing to answer a cost free question knowing the people they have to suck up to are willing to hold up funding. That's called pride ******* with you.

The rest of your post is gibberish unconnected with the fact the university is not guaranteed funding, is required to suck up to politicians for said government funding, and the politicians get to set whatever criteria they can get away with to their voters. I'm sorry you need such a basic civics lesson, but c'mon man, use that high achieving former status of yours.

Welcome to PSU President Neeli. I hope you were warned that this type of BS is still going on at PSU in 2022. This is so incredibly dumb. Tying PSU funding to the damn statue makes zero sense.

Maybe it's an acknowledgment that PSU has a fundamental problem in its culture that should be rectified. What exactly happens if PSU answers the question? Has anyone in this thread that questioned the politician bothered to address this simple question?
