FC/OT: Baseball is back!

Let me be the first to start the chant....YANKEES SUCK! I for one am really happy. I love baseball...just may have to drink a few beers tonite!
Same. When college football and Penn State became my job, the Phillies became the one team I follow incredibly closely as a fan. Pumped.
The MLBPA executive board wanted the players to vote against it. They went against leadership and took the deal. Thank God.
Buddy of mine is in Clearwater as we speak. Goes down every year to spring training to see his beloved Phillies. Still went down even though they are shut down..he also goes to 20 home games every year
I was actually planning to do the same back in January, but I held off because of this. My son is still young, but we took him to a few HBG Senators games, Altoona Curve, etc., last year, and he enjoyed it. It also would've given mommy and daddy an excuse to step away from work for a few days, most importantly.
We'll try again next year. I'm just happy it's back. Been watching this everyday the past two weeks. I think I watched more MLB Network over the past two weeks as I did last season haha.
Would be fine if baseball went away permanently. The only sport that would not exist if it started up now. You can deny it if you want.
That's disappointing. I was hoping for a baseball free summer.

That’s Half the reason I love baseball. It’s the only sport all summer. What the hell else am I gonna do all summer?

Funny. No matter what sport you post about on this board, except CFB, there are going to be people that tell how much they dislike that sport.

Only thing I don't like is bringing the DH to the National League. But ,I'm old and a baseball purist. Takes away from the game in my opinion, but I'll learn to live with it.

I believe it’s 14 or 15 seconds with no one on base, 19 seconds with runners on base.
That and banning shifts go into effect next season. Love it. Wish it was tomorrow but I understand why not.
Back to regular extra inning rules as well...starting the 10th with a runner on second is dead. Thank God...Surprised at going back to 9 inning doubleheaders, although i am glad...
Yeah, fine with regular extra innings. I didn’t mind 7-inning doubleheaders, but I’m fine with either.

Just called my son and told him when the actual schedule comes out I want a day/nite DH in Fenway! He lives in Boston and I am a huge Sox fan..
Anyone growing up who didn't get to listen to Harry Kallis and Ritchie Ashburn call Phillies games missed out on something special. Listening to Phillies games on the radio was awesome.
