That's what you get when you overpay for the NBA.
David Pollock gone too! Wow can't say I'm too upset by that one, but a little surprised they let that ham sandwich go. Gotta make some space on Gameday for McAfee. Too bad Desmond didn't get the hook too
McAfee AND Desmond? Dear God what hell as The Mouse bestowed upon us?!?

40 years ago, ESPN's not-a-game programming had a space - when it was the only convenient place you could go for scores and highlights.
That day ended quite some time ago, of course.

Now they have re-imagined themselves as a space where people will tune in to hear complete idiots blather on about complete inanity - and, to be honest, a lot of people do tune in for that, apparently. The idea that any of those ESPN talking heads actually had some meaningful skill or value in any way commensurate with their compensation was always inane (Yes, some people watch - but most of those same people would tune in if you dropped two rando mentally-ill street people onto the set, cracked them up, and had them jabber at each other, under the precept that it was about "sports", for an hour).
At some point, that business model may dry up. Maybe these are signs that "someday" is approaching.

Who needs espn when we have inanity here in spades? Besides, we’re always right.

Glad Pollack is gone. He’s useless. SmAshley Brewer, that’s some quality meat to be scrap heapin’

In case you want to know why ESPN is swirling in the toilet:

How stupid do you have to be to have men doing that? Everyone knows it’s supposed to be women in their underwear.

This is part of The Ocho stuff, right? Where they broadcast ridiculous sports for a few days?
I really don't know. I saw this post on Twitter then confirmed it was on ESPN News, which isn't news at all anymore. Another reason they suck.

Iger drastically cutting costs at the network hoping to find a complimentary partner to help turn it into a digital streaming company, or selling it off completely. Once a Disney cash cow, it is no longer.

Wonder how much they will be able to pay for the next football contract
