Well... I like it (big fan of that movie helps). I find CJF maddening... I so much want to be completely on board but then he continues to make silly/dumb things in game.

Thank you! Cautiously optimistic AK is the key this year. Still concerned about WRs, LB depth, new coordinators, Drew’s confidence, and over reliance on ‘data/charts’, but pieces are there for a good run. Get by WVU and have some time to gel; some trap games for sure before OSU which can be an issue.

Man, go back to the Peach Bowl game thread - LB99 and Nitt1300 putting in work. Bob dipped late to get a latte.

Thanks for the reminder- you still haven't answered my question. I understand why- you want a top five coach (who wouldn't?), but no top five coach is going to be interested in a program which hasn't been at that level in thirty years and that isn't going to have the payroll to be top five in the new world of semi-pro "college" football.

If that's the case, then why should PSU spend the money it does on the football program? Keeping the stadium full is the only answer. But will 100k+ fans continue to come out every Saturday, particularly those expected to fill premium seats, to watch an also-ran?

This is such a tired subject. I never said a ‘top five coach’. Want to know what Kirby Smart, Dabo Swinney, Lincoln Riley, and Mike Tomlin have in common? Hired to be HC’s with no head coaching experience. You never know who the next guy will be (O’Brien hired at PSU with zero HC experience too). We know what we have currently - many are good with that. I’m more risk tolerant given the potential rewards and 10 year body of work. Not everything has to be a p*ssing contest.

I’ll add that if Franklin puts up another 10-2 season, he’s going to be looking for a pay raise. Don’t be surprised to see his name pop up for something like Florida if/when Napier gets tossed.
