Japanese should feel insulted…very insensitive…what about Dominican League? Mexican League…just flat out insensitive!
Tough toenails. You gotta draw the line somewhere.

But MLB (the actual MLB) was in Japan, would midnighter's osmosis thing rub off on that?
I'll go back with the oh well, don't really care if they are combined or not. If this upsets some baseball puritan may he win his fragile ego battle.

I'd have a stronger opinion but I'm too ignorant and too busy to do the research necessary not to be ignorant. My cursory review thinks this isn't great though. I just can't find a Negro league player whose stats were better after coming to the MLB. That's a concern to me for just tossing them together.

Roy Campanella. Hit .388 and .369 his last two Negro league years. Hit .287 and .281 his first 2 mlb years.
Jackie Robinson goes from .375 to .297.
Larry Doby goes from .365 to .301.

Josh Gibson never had 250 ABs in a season that count? I don't know, hard to take it seriously then. But at the end of the day, baseball has undergone so many shifts that I'm not sure the stats really mean what everyone once thought, so I won't lose any sleep on this.

If they are going to add all stats then they should add all stats from Latin America and Japan or leave it alone.

Why not the North Schuylkill Teener League too? In 1961 I hit .426. I should be ranked ahead of Cobb and Gibson. Adding the Negro League stats makes as much sense as adding the North Schuylkill Teener League stats.
