Just saw this on Landon T’s X feed. He’s calling for a College Football Players Association to help and protect the players. I don’t know what the answer is, but what is out there now, looks like trash IMO.

Right. Can say what you want about Carter’s agent Rosenhaus, but at least he’s legit. These clowns posing as NIL ‘agents’ are just opportunistic bros looking for quick cash. ‘We have to charge more because the contracts aren’t as big,’ - WTF? Does he think people will buy that sh*t?

The players are getting what they wanted along with their lose collection of advisors. The fact remains the Presidents, Commissioners, ADs and Head Coaches sat on their hands while the kids took over and here we are. This includes the rapidly evolving portal and eligibility situation as well.

The shrewd vultures will continue to prey on the players, the fans will be asked to pick up the freight because real NIL is not sustainable and the Universities want all of their TV revenue. Fringe sports will be eliminated and everyone will continue to question and ***** about the new landscape.

OTOH, the networks are driving this to an NFL format with better and more matchups in season and an expanded post season.

Everybody is going to get something. Tgar knows several fans ( season ticket holders ) already planning on going to fewer games once the stadium is rebuilt and prices sky rocket in order to pay players and stadium costs simultaneously.

At this point, Tgar just wants to be entertained. No more Kent States, more quality matchups on TV. Cut all the fluff and get to the NFL.

Tgar does not care one bit if players are protected or not. When everybody is grabbing, nobody is caring. Nobody.

With basketball it was 8 kids per school and no one talked about it. This is now going to be on a mass scale with football - more creeps being involved with 105 kids at 50 schools. Not to mention the hs kids who will be sold to the highest bidder.

And the art museum. Don’t forget the art museum

If this museum is a triumph of intelligent planning, it is also something of a construction miracle. Because Penn State has such a large building operation, which it runs like an army base, it can offer certain economies of scale in construction projects. It was also wise enough to lock in contract prices early in 2021. As a result, the new Palmer did not exceed its $85 million budget, a remarkable feat in these years of skyrocketing prices.---WSJ

Not saying I agree with him, but he can charge what he wants and people are paying it. Should he charge less when people are willing to pay 20%?

I don’t disagree. But, there needs to be some sort of certification/licensing of these guys - and I can tell you, they won’t be getting 20% anymore….

This is just a prediction. Give it a couple of years. The networks are telling these programs and conferences they want more top tier content. 10 game conference schedules on the horizon, possible cross over game with the SEC etc. Money will be the driving force as you well know.
