I will be there as well. Although, all the hotels are sold out as I checked after the announcement. I may have to stay in State College and commute. My daughter will be a senior next year so that wouldn't be a bad thing. She's a huge Steeler fan as well. On another note, it would be cool if that's the weekend of the Blue White game and we can pull a twofer.
The drive out to Pittsburgh from Altoona on 22 is not too bad these days.
I don't think you should let that be a deterrent from attending.
I hope they tank this season then pick their QB at home during the draft. But they'll probably pick another OLB because the Standard is the Standard, Steeler Way, blah blah blah...

Years ago, we took the kids to a Little League World Series game on a Saturday, grabbed dinner in State College, stayed overnight in Altoona, then drove to Pittsburgh for the Steelers vs. Packers preseason game. We almost checked out the Pirates game that night as we stayed at the hotel across the street, but we all got cooked in the sun that day. Took the kids to the strip district and the incline the next day. Good times!
