Thank God she didn't hesitate!
Scary stuff. Thank god someone was around. Plants a seed of concern in my head about going in the pool by myself with no one around....
The fact that the lifeguards weren't doing anything is the concern.
Craziness. On one hand, synchronized swimming can require long bouts of swimmers holding their breadth, but she also sank. Apparently this isn't the first time the swimmer lost consciousness.
If there is anyone who deserves Coach of the Year, it is Andrea Fuentes. Simply amazing how she reacted. She checked her pulse in the water and was attempting to revive her even before getting out. Here is her being interviewed.
