Well she’s been arriving at matches for several years as an assistant coach if you’ve paid any attention to this sport.
Bob's focus is from the waist up.

Me too. I thought in RR retirement announcement it said he would be sticking around as a consultant?I wish her the best. Replacing a legend won't be easy.
Like Shrewsberry, it would be helpful if she could pull a player back from the portal or make some noise by getting some well known transfers in to start building her program. The cupboard isn’t bare but isn’t not upper echelon among the national powers. She needs a top tier recruiting class to make a statement for the program’s direction and that will tough. Maybe she can hire an assistant with a PSU coaching pedigree and some strong recruiting connections. Best of luck to her. She’s a great candidate.Texas made a bit of a splash yesterday by hiring Jordan Larson as an assistant. I don't know much about coach Katie but she seems to be perceived as a plan B or plan C hire, and I don't think this hire has garnered much attention among volleyball fans or media. Hopefully recruits don't share that perception. That doesn't mean she's not capable, but I think people are going to take a wait and see approach with her instead of just assuming PSU will remain the program that they are now or can become what they were 5+ years ago. PSU WVB seems to be at a major crossroads. Making the tournament next year might be a challenge.

The word on the street is that Parker is done with volleyball. There are rumors popping up that Hord might be on her way to Nebraska.Agree
Of the former starters, I believe that Portal players that have left for other teams include Blossom (S) and Hampton (L).
Have not seen any mention of Hord (MB) leaving or staying. I believe our back-up setter also declared for the portal and have not seen any status update on her.
I believe Parker (OH) also has another year of eligibility left. Would be to get back all 3 as a start to help in the rebuild and send a message that they value coaching selection of Katie S.
