Not confirmed from what I am reading elsewhere on the web. Some news sites have pulled their reports.

Not surprising but very sad. He was the coolest; the drug dealer who could write genius songs. Would have been a gas to party with him back in the day.

Every day another shining light burns out and we're left with more darkness and lies.

To weeks in a row of this ****!

And gonna get worse. Remember my parents lamenting the deaths of musicians and celebrities when I was younger. Now it’s a daily thing for me.

And yet they will live on in their music. The music is a gift you can open, day after day, year after year. For me, at least, I can remember it like the very first time I heard it, and it still moves me.

"And there's so much time to make up everywhere you turn.
Time we have wasted on the way.
So much water moving underneath the bridge.
Let the water come and carry us away. "

Cheer up man, this stinks but there is lots of great music out there to keep the light on.

Find the cost of freedom
Buried in the ground
Mother Earth will swallow you
Lay your body down.

I’m a bit younger, but I was pretty shaken when Joe Strummer and Bowie left us. I never did a sort of calculation in advance, but things just felt different for weeks after.

Bowie and Van Halen were very difficult for me. And Charlie and Dusty.

Find the cost of freedom. Think about what that means.

...

Listening to Almost cut my hair right now. I haven't really cut my hair since 3/2/20. Nothing like looking in my mirror and seeing a police car. Every day I'm an outlaw in this country while high crimes are dismissed.

Crosby helps articulate this feeling.

I hear you. I just turned 80 (worked at the Monterey Pop Festival and attended Woodstock), and it almost seems like we are losing one a week. It will be interesting, to me at least, to see if I outlive McCarthy, Starr, Jagger, or Richards. If it would all end in a nuclear holocaust my money is on Richards to be the lone survivor.
