Yeah, what an incredible career and influence he was on the music scene. Hard to fathom how important and influential and talented he was. RIP.

Here he is leading his jazz orchestra with one of the great ones playing one of the greatest songs ever written.

My personal fav as a remote rival is Nile Rodgers. He had quite a run 40 years ago.

Knowing the demographic in here, Brian Eno would get some support.

Interesting comparison, thanks. I was aware of him but had no idea to the extent of his influence as well Until just reading up in his career. Wow.

Quincy even wrote a song for a poster((Looks at RudeDude))...

Seriously, though we all knew this day would come, it's still hard when an artist spanned your entire life.

RIP Quincy Jones.

Back when we listened to full albums...

Just closed my office door and listened to both all the way through. Perfect post.

For those of you with Netflix, set aside some time and find the doc 'The Greatest Night in Pop'. It's about the making of We Are the World and how Quincy and Michael Jackson were able to bring all of that talent together and then construct everything that went into that song.

Loved Quincy.

This one has a special place in my heart due to what may or may not have transpired for the first time, while it was playing one afternoon sometime in the spring of 10th grade ...
