Do y'all think we will play? I am still holding off on buying a ticket.

Nope. They are just waiting until the last minute to make the announcement so they can sell all the tickets they can

Honestly I’d wait til the last minute. Ticket prices keep dropping anyway so it can work out good for you to wait.

Our team is already in Memphis at The Peabody. I figured they tested everyone when they got to Memphis. If we don’t play we don’t get bowl $, so I figure if we have 45 players, we will play because we have already spent our money.

Just because they’re in Memphis doesn’t mean anything. The Military Bowl was supposed to be tomorrow.

We get it. That erection is better than viagra. But in case you haven't noticed, the vast majority of sporting events (like the Packers and Browns last night) went on. We know you can play these bowls if you truly want to, we learned to do all this last year. The teams are just deciding not to, team opt-outs if you will.

Unfortunately for many of you, omicron is NOT going to send us into another shutdown.

I don’t want them to be canceled. If the teams are truly 95% vaccinated and the players that are testing positive are asymptomatic the game should go on.

You serious Clark? I’ve met many that want a shutdown.
Yeah, I wasn't even going to give that response, because if he truly believes that, he can't be helped, nor will his mind be changed.

Nobody is going to come and out and point blank say they prefer a shutdown. These PC folks are experts in how to say things and twist words to avoid scrutiny. But it doesn't take a psychologist to figure out what people truly want, it's all about intent.

State will play if there is a game. They have proven they will play with 43 guys dressed out. State will not be the team to back out.

Half the teacher population for one. They loved the shutdown.

Being able to teach from home, use your own bathroom during breaks, walking to your own kitchen for lunch rather than the cafeteria. Sadly, few teachers go into the profession for all the right reasons. And that’s been a trend for several years, even before the pandemic.

The pandemic is over.

In 2020 Covid had a higher mortality rate for the elderly than regular flu.Vaccines reduced the mortality rate. Omicron further decreases it to way below flu levels. So why the mass panic of our leaders? The pandemic is over. Nobody should fear Covid more than a common cold.— Dr. Eli David (@DrEliDavid) December 25, 2021

I wouldn't cite this nutcase as proof of anything.

Yes, it looks like, omicron is nearly impossible to stop, with milder symptoms, which should lead to re-evaluating our policies.

..but I'm not following the wisdom of a guy who compares pandemic policies to the Holocaust.

Good for you. The message is still the same. This whole shooting of the messenger because of reasons needs to end. Facts are facts.

That said, I mean nobody wants to get the ****. But we've all known from the beginning that we just have to 'make it through' to the point that it's endemic. We are almost there. By 2023 I would imagine vaccines will be optional outside of school and other things (like others are now), as whatever strands are in existence at that point will be noticeably weaker.

2 years into pandemic, with - 90% + vax- with boosters rolling out- with milder variant- with rapid tests available- with oral agents on horizonthere is a responsibility for clinicians to normalise this disease which is becoming endemic. A lot of people made the same if not more money when their job got shut down. They would love to go back to being paid to sit at home.

Rao is a substantially better source of info.

Doesn't have any glaring biases or hot takes. Trying to combat panic, while also encouraging safe behavior. Thumbs up.
