The final AP poll is out. We finally made the the holy land coming in at 20th. Bad news, no more college football for about another 8 months. BTW how in the hell can Troy be 19th. Back in the day Troy was a joke, now their 19th. I guess their budget is larger than ours. **

Better than Texas and UCLA. Troy lost to Ole Miss and App State. But did beat Coastal Carolina. So their 12-2 record looked confusing to voters

I'd have ranked Ohio State, Alabama, Tennessee, Penn State, Washington, Utah, Florida State & USC ahead of TCU. Any other time of year, you lose by 58 and you drop precipitously. Why not now? Not that it really matters. But if you're gonna do a poll, at least do it correctly.

They earned a ranking ahead of Michigan, who earned a ranking ahead of Ohio State, so there's not much room for them to fall.

Personally, I would have put Tennessee #2 and Alabama #3, but there's just no way to put TCU any worse than #4, and even that is only in that specific scenario.

Yes. We are aware of your feelings about TCU. You have made that abundantly clear.

My top six would be Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, TCU, Michigan, Ohio State.

I think you're overreacting to the score in one football game. Georgia would beat TCU 10 out of 10 times, but TCU's a good football team. That game last night just got away from them. They just beat the Big 10 Champions last weekend.

That poll is 17ing drunk. 10-4 LSU who destroyed Purdue 63-7 in the Citrus Bowl is ranked behind 10-3 Oregon, 10-3 FSU (who they beat), and 10-4 Utah? Tulane in the Top 10? MSU behind Troy? 11-2 Alabama ahead of 11-2 Tennessee who beat them? What a damn joke.
Um, FSU beat LSU first week of the season. And they have one fewer loss. I do agree that I have never understood the Utah love this year. They lost to a bad Florida team and also lost four games, but they never fell below 15 in the poll this season.

FSU beat LSU 24-23 when they blocked a PAT that would have tied the game and sent the game into OT. LSU lost to FSU, Tenn, A&M, and UGa.

Damn. It might be me that’s drunk. Forgot about that. Still feel like that other stuff is a joke though.

That looks about right. I think you've got to put Michigan ahead of Ohio St., but otherwise it looks pretty close to what my eyes tell me.

And Tulane and USC are not in the Top 17. Which is what my eyes tell me.

They're 19 and 23 btw.

The idea that USC almost made the playoffs is disturbing.

Thank goodness USC lost in the PAC 12 title game or they would’ve made the playoff instead of Ohio State and Georgia would’ve had two walkovers to the Natty.

He's a bama fan and was upset they weren't in it this year. If all those teams moved ahead of TCU then what about Michigan? TCU deserves to be ranked 2nd. Some people are still just eating sour grapes.

Well he’s right. If Bama had made the playoffs, we’d have had a pretty competitive game last night.

Crazy that Tenn can beat Bama and fall 4 spots below them, but that's the world we live in

And we still had to look at Satan's ugly puss before the NC game. That ruined the pregame show for me.

Yes, but wasn't it great they weren't there this year???? I'm sick of the imbalance in college football. I don't want to see Alabama and Georgia in the finals next year (wonder if I can place a bet now). I don't even want to see Ohio State and Georgia in the finals. I want to see new blood rise to the top but I don't expect that to happen. The high dollar teams will just continue to rein supreme and we will be watching the same ole games just replayed ad nauseum.

TCU's composite recruiting rating was 54. They beat Michigan a top 10 ranked team and lost to #2 rated Georgia. I expected them to lose big so I wasn't surprised. I was glad to see them in the playoffs because they are underdogs like we are. Even moreso.

Is it that, once you make the playoffs, your ranking in the Top 4 is mandatory? Also. is the loser of the CG automatically ranked #2?
