F THAT! 50 years of this BS! New coach after new coach....time we get it through our heads that we will never do anything in this conference. We would be better off somewhere else.
We are stuck with Beamer into the 2025 season. Don't know that, but suspect it.
But, you are right. If Beamer is gone in 2025, we need to hire a YOUNG coach with PROVEN successful Head Coaching experience at the FBS level. Any success we have ever had in football was with a Head Coach who had proven successful FBS Head Coaching experience. Why our geniuses on the Board Of Trustees, who actually spearheaded the hire of Beamer did not know Gamecock football history, is a head-scratcher.
Baseball? I'm biased I suppose being a big fan of Baseball. Realize football is so called bread winner. I've come to realize our history in that sport makes us an occasional threat to win anything.
Florida state thought the same thing into Bowden. Florida didnāt win the SEC until they were in the league like 35 years. They were nothing till Spurrier got them on a roll. Got to get a great coach. Not a recruiter
Patience - which most fans lack - is the key to building a program. How many Clemson fans wanted to run off Dabo - plenty. Same for Stoops at Kentucky and many others. And, what was Drinkwitz` record after 3 yrs. at Missouri? I`m sure they were saying many of the same things. Give Beamer 5 yrs. then see where we are. Maybe we need some changes, I don`t know, but not Beamer.
I had this feeling today like both teams got their hires mixed up. Rich Rodriguez here and Shane Beamer to Jacksonville St.

You are absolutely right. I think you should burn your USC diploma, shred your Gamecock Club membership card, and quit buying season tickets. Except you probably don't do any of those things.

Dietzel announced his retirement, halfway through his last season. He wanted to stay on as AD but Carlen made both positions a condition for him to come his.
Yea I was talking football. We own ladies basketball and had several good baseball years.

An east championship....you are funny. We had a horrible season and limped in to a division championship and then got smoked against real competition. That was an embarrassing attempt!
So what has all the money done for us? You still lose every year! Just what I said....nobody wants to leave the money. They don't care about winning....it is all about the money!
