I’m tending to agree. I guess launch angle and exit velocity failed us again.
Being one dimensional will be his downfall. Often times the sacrifice bunt is the answer in college ball. Often times, not enough clutch, consistent hitters in a line up. Of course the art of bunting has faded also....😏

I'll say it again. If our pitching doesn't shore up, it will be a LONG season. The SEC will eat us alive. And so will Texas in 3 weeks. And Clemson in 2 weeks.
Saturday I was willing to let slide. But not two days of the same.
And what is going on with 1B being 2-3 feet IN FRONT OF THE BAG when he has a man on? No way you are going to be able to apply a tag being that far off the bag. I thought maybe it was just Sightler on Saturday, but Belk was doing it yesterday too. Who the heck is teaching them that?????? That is not good fundamental 1B play. I am fit to be tied right now.
And this starting the game with no one in the bullpen. If we could not do that, that'd be great!

This weekend is still a failure for the baseball program. Outscored UNC Greensboro by 1 run over 3 games... That's not good enough. Took a miracle 9th inning to avoid a disaster season opening series loss. They have a lot, and I mean a lot of work to do... Eyster looks great, and the true freshman SS is a beast.

Feels a lot like 2021 FB. Won early games against cupcakes, but struggled doing so. Issues were there to be seen, but some didn't want to see or admit.
Now, football turned out to be a net-positive by most if not all accounts, but it remains to be seen if the issues will be fixed. I'm cautiously optimistic that they are being/will be sorted. Can baseball follow that same track, and/or even do so at a quicker pace? We shall see.

We have 1 weekend left to do so. Because then the schedule gets real.

IMO, way too many 2 strike ahead in count hits given up. Don't understand, but it seems our staff doesn't have an "out" pitch. Afraid one week may not be enough. I'm hoping by conference play it is fixed. Texas is going to be tough anyway, Clemson can be managed.

I don't think it will be. And I don't feel confident that Bosnic will be back this season.

There’s a top shelf baseball coach on campus. Just saying….
You are not, of course referring who Ray Tanner, who announced 10 years ago that he was done with coaching. The chances of Ray going back to the dugout are comparable to us going back to the ACC.

I’d love to go back to the ACC.

I'd love to go back to the 8-school ACC we left 51 years ago. Today's ACC is not the same league we left.

Next best thing is to schedule as many contests as we can in as many sports as we can against schools who were ACC members at the time we left. This would include Maryland, but not Miami, F$U, Ga Tech, etc., although I wouldn't mind seeing more contests vs those schools as well.

WBB did a pretty good job this year: NCSU, Clemron, Maryland, and Dook.
