Boo (no downvote for you, though). Just hate to see him released. I hope he lands on his feet with a good team

I heard it was done to avoid paying him the $18 million he would be due to get by the end of the day on his current contract. It was done to renegotiate a new deal. The Eagles want to keep him, just not at the current price. Whether he stays is really up to him, potentially in light of offers from other teams.

Not sure why anyone would stay in Philly if they have a way out.

Yup. I'd be looking for somewhere I can win a championship and/or a nice place to live and would take a discount for either.

I mean, he already won a championship in Philly, it’s not like he can’t win there.

I'd just like to have the State alums together on the Cowboys...I know its a pipe dream, but I can always hope (even though JJ shops for free agents at Dirt Cheap)

Dallas could use the help in the secondary for sure. Philly has him through 2023

I saw denico autry is joining Simmons in Nashville. That would have been a maroon *** line with Fletch in the middle. And a dangerous *** line.
