Football season ticket renewals

Any updates on numbers? I didn’t renew after having 4 + parking since the 2014 season. These were lower level and I was a bit surprised there wasn’t more of a press from the athletic department to get me to renew. Maybe that will come now that the renewal period has ended, maybe they see enough demand that it won’t be an issue to get someone else to take them, or maybe an average family with 4 seats doesn’t register on the priority list of people to contact, not sure.

But, I will say the perceived lack of effort pushing season ticket renewals is another concern I have with our athletic department.

I feel really sorry for the people that are still actually buying season tickets to football. To pay all that money to watch your team not even be competitive. I understand people that go to tailgate and not go to games. Watch on tv or watch other games at the tailgate with friends, pretty weather, eat/drink and watch attractive women.

Congrats. Here is a cookie.

The numbers will be 1980sIsh this year because of fans like y'all. Trust me there is nobody else to buy those tickets but...... Texas, UGA and OM fans. So no complaints this year when the stadium is every color but maroon. .... and our recruiting sucks once again.

They emailed, texted and even voice called multiple times, until I renewed.

I received generic email reminders but nothing I would call extra effort above the basic mass communication. Maybe you should pick up the slack and buy a few extras for friends and family.

Lack of communication? I kept two of mine just to have them… renewed this week. But I got tons of emails, texts, calls / voicemails. Something every other day this month. You must be on a do not disturb list

Looking back - just last two weeks I got emails on 3/18, 21, 24, texts on 3/20 & 25, and a call on 3/24. I renewed Wednesday morning

I renewed on Friday grudgingly. I received daily automated emails about the renewal deadline from the last 2-3 weeks and I got a couple of calls from students working in the ticket office. I've had season tickets since JWS came to MSU & hopefully I will be around to watch the next rebuild whenever it happens.

For us it is a more of "support the program" effort and social event. If I really wanted to watch the game in great detail, I'd do it in front of a big screen, the worst place to watch a game is in a stadium.

I got numerous emails. I even had one that was personal and wanted to set up a time to talk on phone. That was it. There was one with perks. I had made my mind up weeks ago and just ignored them.

I hope Shapen will last longer than 3 games. And I'm scared to ask, but who's his backup this year?

I have been told that they make more money on the Club level seating and Box seating than they do on all other seats combined. Probably true based on who I heard it from.

The amount of posters on here who boast about not supporting the football program is 17ing weird
Well, with a big increase in costs and a shorter time to renew, along with knowing almost every single game at home is in Sept, it's just not worth it for what we put on that field. Our administration chose this path and now they're going to see how bad they've 17d things up.

For single vacant seats (after tickets have been opened up for sale), the ticket office should offer those tickets to adjoining seat holders for a steep discount.

I want to add that I don't think the administration cares. If they did, we would have seen some changes to the coaching staff. You can't go 2-10 and think everything is ok and no changes is needed. If they don't care I don't care. I will spend the money on something else. I will probably buy a ticket or two and maybe go to a road game but that is it.

When they open it up you can go in and buy individual game tickets for those seats. I did it a few times. Got the seats next to me. I had to pay a bulldog club contribution for one game per seat. It was figured into the ticket price.

I think it was last year or the year before there was a single seat adjacent to our seats and they did call offering the seat to us at face value without the donation requirement. By the end of the season I wish we would have bought it because there were several games that it felt like there was at least one or two extra people in our row.

We received at least one or two personalized emails this year to renew our season tickets I normally ignore generic emails from the bulldog club.

The costs have priced out people (tickets to hotels, etc). I wanted to this year since it's my kids last year in Starkville, but it's just too much for a program the school has neglected, especially when other things in life are going on. Doubt I ever buy them again now with donations required to increase every year.

I didn't buy last season, and they still have emailed and called me multiple times this season. I was down to buying just 2 after having 5 over the last 40ish years.

I just looked and my 2 are still available so I guess nobody bought them last year either or bought them and said **** this and moved on.

Edit: Edited to say as I was looking at what seats were available this season I saw an ad for 4 lower level seats plus a parking pass to the AZ St game for $149 bucks or for $49 in the upper levels. Sales must be hurting.......

HailState.com, click the "Tickets" tab at top of page. Then put mouse arrow over "Football" and a drop down menu will appear. Click on "Purchase 2025 Season Tickets" and then there's a "Buy Now $275+" button and click it and then click any section in the stadium and the open seats show up as green dots.

Yep, I didn’t renew but saw that so went ahead and bought the lower level option.

I didn't really go this year because how bad we were and I also couldn't sell them for that reason. Doing it to keep my seats but not sure how long that will last

I didn’t renew this year after 40 years of owning season tickets
