Never got my Michelob Light keg btw. Total Wine told me local distributor had it. They don't. Back to the Yuengling.

Maybe splurge for a Stella or Warsteiner keg one of these trips.

Had a couple of Melvin IPAs earlier in the day and then a victory glass of Buffalo Trace after the game. If you haven’t tried Melvin IPAs before, suggest you do. Brewed in Alpine, WY.

We are approaching the Manhattan and Old Fashioned season. Tgar has several in his fall and winter rotation at home and is jonesing to get busy stirring and muddling all those fun ingredients. Cheers to you!
I like this one…
Harvest Manhattan Cocktail

  • 6 tablespoons (3 fluid ounces) applejack or apple brandy
  • 1/4 cup (2 fluid ounces) rye whiskey
  • 2 tablespoons (1 fluid ounce) cherry syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (1/2 fluid ounce) nocino walnut liqueur
  • Angostura bitters or cherry bitters
  • I used Luxardo cherry juice (1/2 tsp) in lieu of the cherry syrup. Also did the cherry bitters.

Sounds delish.

I got a Troeg’s 12 pack sampler up in Cincinnati earlier this week. I’ve read a lot about that brewery on here so I gave it a shot. I’ve had three of the 4 varieties and have thoroughly enjoyed them. Sadly, it didn’t include the Mad Elf I’ve heard so much about.

Pilsner Urquell. Somehow this classic tastes exactly the same to me now as the first I downed 30+ years ago. Still summer here in FL and this is my go to post lawn work beverage. So refreshing. For me, there's no other Pilsner in its class.
