they are doing much more harm than good. Its like we've said here, how does OM expect to get a good coach when they keep running them off after one bad season (see Cutcliffe, and even Nutt to an extent).

What kind of promising young AD wants to put up with this group of clowns running around? Its not like they are the only ones hiring AD's these days.

It baffles me people really think for a second that Archie is going to step into this **** storm.

I clicked on 12 thinking it was an add for a strip club or massage parlor.

Even in our worst days with Croom, none of our folks pulled any stunts like this. That's the problem with having a large segment of your booster base made up of trial lawyers with Titanic sized egos. Not all lawyers are like this but it only takes a handful of Dickie Scruggs types to pull crap like this. As much as I despise those 17er's and the elitist fan base it has turned into, I hate it for the great majority of their normal fans. And it is an embarrassment that effects Mississippi, like we needed one more thing.

It's one thing to fight amongst kin at home, but another thing all together to take it out to the street. What a group of morons.

You cannot justify doing this.

as ya'll have stated doing damage to the school they claim to care about. much as i might enjoy msu's travails when they come, i hope as one of you said ya'll don't have to deal with a group like this. it really doesn't do any of us any good.

Comes to football. It isn't just the forward rebel group. I want to win championships as much as the next person but you have to realize that winning seven games consistently in Mississippi is a pretty impressive feat.

Why not use a more round number like $425,000 or $400,000? I'm sure the extra $4,000 or $29,000 doesn't increase the shock value all that much. Basically they're saying the man is making somewhere between $429,000 and $430,000. My guess: $429,342.06.

And then we tell him what a dubmass he is, and by Tuesday, everything is better.

On second thought, Forward Rebels is great for Ole Miss. Bad publicity is better than no publicity as they say. Keep up the good work Forward Rebels.

To me the Klan sabotage over TSWRA during a 9 win season is bad publicity. This seems like par for the course.

I've thought about this too, and the best thing I can think of is the fact that it could create a situation where this is considered a reasonable route for action in the future. It's a little bit Arkansas-like for my tastes. I don't disagree with the anti-Boone sentiment. My fear is that we'll find out soon enough that the current leaders of the group of a pro-Col. Reb, anti-Dan Jones thing going on too, and that's when I have a much bigger issue with it.

Of course the money they're spending on the ads is ridiculous. Given what I've heard the price of full page ad is, they're probably spending upwards of $50K per week on newspaper ads for 5 papers. That money, in my opinion, would be better spent in other areas. I guess for the newspaper business, it's a good thing.

That's how people who don't follow Ole Miss or State feel when they see the newspaper ads. Making this so public, having so little couth and being blindly angry to the point that you don't care that everyone is looking at you and shakingtheirheads thinking, "keep this **** at home" is pretty unflattering especially for a college as bad *** as Ole Miss. How would the Oxford elite view such a public disagreement?<div>
</div><div>We State fans are watching the same public spat but the female happens to be an old girlfriend who has gained a littleweight, fighting with some guy who has the "how did I get myself into this mess" look on his face.</div><div>

would this make you look seriously at this job? It's one thing to step into a bad program/situation, but this is just a terrible thing to want to be a part of. This is no knock against them bears either. Why would someone want to take a position where they're going to look as stupid as the people willing to do such a thing? Any AD/HC knows there's going to be that group of people they'll never be able to have over for coffee, but this takes the cake. I'm not sure their program and the opportunity would have quite the risk/reward ratio a good AD/HC would want.

Heck, even in the darkest times of the "Croom Error" all we did was put a "For Sale" sign in his yard. For a fan base that loves to trumpet "class", I can't see any levelheaded fan agreeing with this approach.

take all the letters of your name....ok you with me?...write each letter individually on separate sheets of paper....crumble up each piece of paper and then mash them all together and form one ball of paper...now hold that ball of paper under the faucet and saturate it with water to a soggy consistency.....then... SHOVE IT UP YOUR BUTT!!

All the crazy crap Arkansas fans did and this crazy stuff going on at Ole Miss did not happen at either school until Nutt arrived. The funny thing is, it stopped at Arkansas once he left. Nutt seems to be as cancer every where he goes.

and won't kill yourself I guess the best thing to do is explain.

You see, newspapers come out daily. Today is the 27th. DS posted this on the 26th. So, an intelligent person, not you of course, would simply go to the top where it says "Select a date" and change that to 09/26/2011.

You are a *#%%*#+ moron.

produces the next orgeron. It slows down your growth to build needed facilities. It teaches prospective coaches, once again, that experience (Nutt) or not (Cutcliff) we will run you off quickly even if it's unreasonable to expect that kind of success.

Publically airing your laundry is never a good idea.

Think Jerry Springer.

season, not to mention splitting the fan base intotwo factions:"Yeah, I want to fire Pete, too" and "I want to fire Pete, but quietly amoungst ourselves". The former is making the latter harder and harder to do. And as many have pointed out, who do you think will be lined up to take his place with this nameless, well-funded group in the background. As my best friend and Rebel said, this reminds me of Tea Party antics during the gov't shutdown threat.

But hey, I'm having fun driving by your car wreck, so keep it up if you think it's okay.
