"His stats: 17.5 points/6.3 rebounds/4.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game/.428 FG
Frank says: One of the more under-appreciated players in the country."

Hard to argue with those numbers.

He'd be 1st team All-American if Stans hadn't played him out of position all year. <sarcasm></p>

Congrats J-Money......

Too bad he is a tweener and will not play in the NBA...
You really are trying to be the worst of JR & Coach34 rolled into one poster, aren't you?

As another poster pointed out, what exactly does being named an AA have to do with future potential or success in the NBA? You may or may not realize this, but being named a college AA has to do with what JaMoney has accomplished in COLLEGE.

I think Gordon finds a spot on a team and lasts a short while. I don't think he'll last too long, kind of like Lawrence Roberts.

Jamont might come back if he is not projected to go in the draft. All I can say is all the basketball experts on this board must be smarter than the folks who give out accolades and awards. Jamont is one heck of a player. Is he flawless, no, but who is?</p>

as the SEC Tournament Player after he leads the Bulldogs to victory..

Tourney MOP: Jamont Gordon (35). Mississippi State's do-everything swingman has been all over the board lately: 20 or more points in five of the last eight games; single digits in the other three. Forty-three assists in that time, but 43 turnovers as well. But The Minutes can foresee a hot Gordon carrying the Bulldogs to the title.

Exactly..

J-Money is a great player in college, but that will not translate to the next level.
He can not shoot well enough from outside or handle the ball without turnovers to be a guard in the NBA.

People keep saying that Stans is not a great recruiter b/c he has no players in the NBA.
But he is a great college recruiter and recruits players that become great in college.(Roberts, Austin, J-Money)

If you understand that being a college AA is about being a great college player, then why even bring up the NBA? The original poster made no mention of it. The point of the post was pointing out Jamont getting recognition for his play in college. Whether or not his game translates to the pros is irrelevant.
