To a sizeable cadre of forum and Internet fans, it does not seem to matter.Question for this thread ? But why does he come back ?
There is no upside. Is anyone out there truly steeped in the belief that one more year and FM is going to somehow transform this team as a consistent tournament contender ?
Why does he come back? The same reason he is still here. Mediocrity is acceptable for the folks making the decisions.Question for this thread ? But why does he come back ?

Who do you think would offer him a job?I don’t think Frank knows it’s over. He probably knows it should be over. We know it should be over. But do we know it’s over? Big difference. Personally, I think he’s here for another year UNLESS he does the Mike White route and bolts for another job to reset the time.
Answer to first question: No.Honestly do any of you really think things will be different if he comes back with GG? Even if things are good with GG and he leaves after one year, then what changes after that?
Not calling you out directly, but this is the most inane reason to retain FM one more year. When does GG decide? If he picks us then Frank gets at least another year.
Disastrous if he comes back. Fan apathy is at/near an all-time low. The administration will bring him back for next season, so that we have to hear him complain again about fans not showing up to colonial to watch bad basketball. Great recipe for success.60-40 he's back.
He still has a decent rep in the coaching community. He could go to a mid-major and do just fine. Frank has to go. He won’t succeed here. But whoever we get next has a very difficult task ahead of him. Like it or not, Frank has been our most successful coach since at least Eddie Fogler. His SEC record is much better than any coach in our history.Who do you think would offer him a job?
