Why I was praying he would take one of the jobs he was mentioned for last season. While Ruhle didn't pan out in the NFL(No QB) he was the guy I wanted. Sadly don't think he was ever truly in play and only screwed us for even longer.

If I had $72 million to burn, I’d bring Ruhle home in a heartbeat. I’m just tired of gimmick football that seldom works against equal or better talent.

Will MY get any heat for this performance? As much as we complain about Franklin he seems to be the CEO asking his guys to do their jobs. Franklin fired KC for MY and I am not sure what advantage he has brought to PSU. MY’s offense looks predicable and slow. Zero use of the TE’s, fades that never work, etc. Very unimaginative after a bye week and a second year in his system.

Don't disagree, but are you writing the check?

I've been hopeful that Franklin's revolving door of offensive coordinators would settle down as I think they need stability there, but to your point, MY hasn't exactly impressed. I'm curious how much Franklin is involved in playcalling.

There’s no way Franklins current contract will get to the end of term. I don’t think Franklin is a good coach so I’m betting that Franklin will resign at the end of the 2025 season after not ever making the college football playoff. The pressure from the school and fans will be too much and he will realize his chance with #1 position recruits Allar/Singleton will be over. Franklin will find another job somewhere else.

Why because he sucked at Carolina and one won championship in whatever league Temple played in? Franklin deserves the blame today for not having his team ready with a bye week to prepare but stop with the Rhule nonsense.

that’s the thing, we don’t know how much is MY and how much is JF. The buck does stop at JF.

Yes, and they both reacted in the middle of the season because Franklin lied about being a leading candidate for the USC job.
Barbour and Baron didn't sign Franklin to the new contract. That was pretty much the result of a very high ranking member of the BOT who was responsible for the $90 million deal. B&B were lame ducks with two feet out the door and they weren't going to interfere. It was time for them to go cash their pensions.

$120 million for a Liberal Arts Building? They can afford to dump Franklin. USC and UCLA are also joining soon so they really cannot wait too long.

Franklin to the team after the game today:

“Men, the only way to get rid of this feeling is to win. Now, how do we do that? Anyone?”

Someone earlier said we are the third best team in the conference. Hopefully true…..

BUT

Respectfully, that remains to be determined over the next six weeks.

And proven AGAIN today…..the easiest job in America is the Defensive Coordinator playing against PSU.

Actually, it’s the defensive coordinator playing against the Steelers. Matt Canada is in a class by himself.

And for what it’s worth, in my opinion Franklin’s fingerprints are all over this unimaginative and talent-stifling offense. Not much changes from year to year other than the coordinators. He’s the constant.

It is an interesting question, but it really does not matter. The buck stops with Franklin in either case.

Fair enough. I’m still tired of “not having his team ready with a bye week to prepare”…happens far too frequently in HV.

He’s got 72 million reasons working in his favor to stick around. Or put another way, Sandy screwed us royally!!
And he has got 72 million reasons to leave and find a sinecure coaching job, if he wants to keep busy and avoid an accountability reckoning from fans who expect to beat the big dogs at least 51% of the time.

All this fire Franklin stuff is just stupid. USC lost, Bama lost, ND lost - half of all the teams which played today lost. When OSU plays Michigan one of them will lose as well. Fire all of them, they didn’t do their jobs. You posters sound like children. Yeah Barbour missed a lot of tackles today - blame her. Oh I forgot - she made them at Purdue and Auburn.

How bad did we get manhandled - to the tune of over 400+ on the ground. But here's the really disturbing part.

If you go back and watch Michigan's games against Maryland, Iowa, and Indiana, Michigan ran for around 160 to 170 yards against Iowa and Indiana (don't remember the exact numbers) and for around 240 on a supposedly terrible Maryland defense. But for the most part, those teams played well in the trenches against Michigan. Now rewatch our game - specifically the LOS. Just sickening 400+ yard rushing ? GTFO

Have you watched this team get pushed around again and again and again?

Yeah Bama lost…but they have a bit of a track record recently. And the season ain’t over for them yet.

The underachieving in Happy Valley is systemic under Franklin. And the trend line is getting worse.

Time to give someone else a chance.

And you sound like a loser with a loser mentality. Winners bang the prom Queen and eat steak. Sounds like you date Rosanne Barr and eat McDonalds.

If the lack of size in the defensive line, the offensive line and slow small linebackers is as glaring a problem to Franklin as it is to everyone else, why in nine years has he not done anything about it? Why do PS players tackle so poorly? Why don't PS players have basic HS football fundamental techniques? Frustrating beyond belief. 7.5 million a year for what??
