I can't imagine anyone trying to put lipstick on that pig(yesterday). I'm speaking from personal experience as a player.....losing to a winless team in a torrential downpour......and winning by a TD on the very last play from scrimmage ....over a team that finished 1-9 in a year we went 8-2 (coaching)......bad weather tends to make everyone equal.

Bad weather often is indeed a great equalizer, especially when the superior team turns the ball over 5 times. The silver lining is that the fumbles by the freshman RBs happened this week.

Even Fitz alluded to that prior to the game. I thought about that also, because I still have PTSD from the 1974 7-6 loss to Navy @ home in a torrential downpour. The Oldtimers on the board will remember that nightmare.
