Also, we were adjacent with a group of basketball coaches, including George brooks. As I sat, I announced to the group that "sorry guys. I'm all out of eligibility. I can always tell when I'm about to be recruited." The joke was obvious since I'm a 5'10" white flab ball in my mid-forties.
Coach brooks quickly asked, "but can you make free throws?" I was impressed. I wished them the best tonight and chowed on the fried pork chop special.
