Thought I would give you all a glimpse of the future with this public service announcement...if Tom Allen has someone read this post to him, then our chances improve. but more importantly, the emotional fragility of the Buckeye Chatter Class is the best source of humor this week if you need a good laugh.
1. With the injuries to their O-Line, Day plans to move the pocket and execute the 5-Star WR version of Bowling Green on us. They want a 21-0 lead by using Smith, Ebuka, and Tate with quick passes and YAC. Day expects to hurt us early and this is their plan because they do not have an answer for their O-Line. JCF has mentioned that we need to do a better job of being ready out of the gate and this would be the game to do it.
2. Tension between Johnson, the Big 12 DC and Day has hurt them in two ways that we can only hope does not change in this game. This $15 Million brain trust has not rotated their DL. As a result, they get rolled as they get tired. So either we stay close enough that our running game can own the game in the 2nd half or they rotate their relatively inexperienced 5star back-ups in. I would hope that AK hurts them with some degree of smash mouth but 1) they do not think we are fast enough to be feared and/or and 2) they do not think AK has enough gimmicks to keep them off-balanced if we do. Second, they do not control the center of the pocket well. Big Hair and Tom Sawyer orbit rush, their tackles rush wide and they do not always back fill the middle of the line with safeties and/or LBs. So if we send receivers in the middle of the field, we will get some space in the center of the field or as Kirkie says "in the interior". Just so you all know, "interior" is the only 4-syllable work any Buckeye is required to speak in order to graduate. Other than the D-Line play, our only hope with the forward pass without gimmickries is to surprise them with Omari Evan's speed. They do not think we are fast enough to have a smash play to hurt them like the Ducks did. They absolutely think Julian is our best WR and they think he can't catch or run, so anything to the contrary and would be a surprise.
3. These wannabe's have been celebrating their national title since April and are on the brink of a meltdown if we get up. Unlike 2017 and 2018 where we cratered, these bums are not as mentally resilient to recover from a 2-score deficit. If ever JCF needed to get out of the gate with a lead, it is this game. It is an enormous opportunity for Franklin because a win by the good guys will literally have the Buckeye program living the final scene in Indiana Jones 1 when the casket is opened...making it the best win since the Fiesta Bowl. #WE ARE
