My second, so now I have a matching set. Just went out and walked 1/2 mile no pain.

I have a solid 5 week PT schedule (3 x day at facility) plus home exercises... expect to have restrictions lifted after 6 weeks... i was aggressive but not wreckless with the first one and was playing golf in 6-7 weeks. Walking on level surfaces, no running, is the key.Don’t push it. Told
My brother to take it easy first 3 months. What did he do. Not listen. Damn thing slipped out of socket after 3 months.

Did they do anterior? 12 weeks seems long. Without question, when asked, I tell people to get it done the moment you have a dr and insurance approval. When you delay all you do is degrage your back by changing your gait. I waited 9 months first time (2020) to play golf all summer and it took 3+ months after restrictions dropped to get back realigned and strengthed.Good luck with the recovery, ESRC!
I had my left hip done almost 3 months ago. They put me on 12 weeks of precautions and that ends Monday. I worked around the bad hip for a few years so I’ve got some work to do to strengthen that side. It feels good just to get on an exercise bike without pain.
They did posterior and my surgeon was very conservative on the precautions. My PT has been good and I’m moving around well (far better than before the surgery). I had heart surgery in February and he was considering postponing the hip surgery until my cardiologist told him I had recovered well and was good to go. I had already hit my insurance out of pocket max for the year so I took the “buy one get one free” option.Did they do anterior? 12 weeks seems long. My leg wasn't straight because of arthritis in my hip. Hip replacement fixed that but I have nerve damage from my knee to 10" up my thigh. I'm happy I did it but it hasn’t been perfect.Congrats on your successful surgery. I had my right hip replaced about nine months ago best decision I've made in years.

I understand. When I look back at all the women I had to sleep with to get where I got..... I takes a toll on the body.Combination of agressive women, 30 years of ice hockey goalie, and jumping out of perfectly good airplanes in my early 20's
Put walker away within first 12 hours. I'm having more tightness than 4 years ago so I'm trying to be less aggressive but holding at about 1500 steps a day right nowWalked 1/2 mile after only 3 days? Were you using a walker?
IIRC I used a walker for 4-5 days then went to a cane. At that point I was going crazy being stuck in the house so my wife drove me to the Burger King drive through for lunch. I needed some help getting in and out of the car.Put walker away within first 12 hours.
